LogTen Pilot Logbook

Works fine on my phone, which I use for data entry. Usually syncs ok with my computer. iCloud sync is stuck a couple of months behind on my iPad and it won’t update. It’s a problem that LogTen has a long history with unfortunately. Not really good enough for such an expensive subscription product. Will delete from the iPad and continue to use on the phone. Syncing aside, it’s a pretty comprehensive product, but it is very much overpriced.

$129 NZD for a 1 year subscription! App seems to work ok but $129 you must have lost your mind! A 1 off payment maybe, but a yearly subscription at this price is a joke! I’ll be sticking to pen and paper at these prices.

OK app for short haul, doesn’t cope well with heavy crewing situations. Overly complicated and very expensive. I really wanted to like this app and tried for quite some time to live with it and see if I could get over my dislike of its complexity but in the end just deleted it and went back to paper for its simplicity.

Absolutely love the app, has everything I could want in a logbook app. But you would hope so for the price that they charge, I started with log ten pro almost 6 years ago and even then paid a large price for the app then with X I now have to pay a subscription too.

You now have to pay monthly or yearly to continue using this logbook. Terrible idea. Already deleted from my devices! Seriously Coradine, what were you thinking?!

For the amount of money charged for this app, per year, this should be flawless. Knowledge bases are outdated, app is basic in design, lacking key import features on the iPhone from company scheduling. Don’t waste your time and money. Stay away.

Random discrepancy where iPhone entries don’t sync total time. Syncs back to my laptop and copies random errors into older entries. Now having to comb through entires and verify against my paper logbook to get my hours back.

After 10 year I lost all my info. It said the app was damaged and needs to be reinstalled. Unfortunately I can’t reset my password either because it doesn’t recognize my email. At least I have the old paper logbook and don’t care about updating hours anymore

Trying to import your flight time automatically is horrible. I’ve reached out to support multiple times and they just give the stereotypical answer of “check out our tutorials.” They have a lot of “how to’s” for Mac but none for iPad or if they say it works on the iPad…. It actually doesn’t and doesn’t have the correct tabbing and information for the instructions. Use a different app or system…. Especially if you’re in the airline business.

After a recent data migration within LogTen, I am stuck with much missing data. Even recent backups are missing previously logged data, particularly approach and landing data. Additionally, LogTen also erroneously wiped previously assigned Aircraft Types to my profile’s many different aircraft. I had to go back through 15 years of flying to reassign aircraft types. Help center is only via online submission or email, no phone option. For the cost of the product, and having been with them for more than a decade, I would now recommend a different product for a pilot starting out. There are many other options out there now, and ones that won’t be restricted to apple products. Disappointed and frustrated.
