I love receiving notifications for new words and when I tap it’s a paywall to get the premium subscription. Don’t waste my time.

Being using this app daily for years, great for improving your vocabulary and also learning new words in my mother tongue too. Great for iwatch too. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star review is because the voice reading the word isn't English. Give us a proper English accent so that we can learn the pronunciation properly

The first app I install on my phone. Daily word is awesome feature. Great layout, very fast word search. Search for one word and then dig further into other ones. Best dictionary for iOS. Well done to the developers

This app was a staple widget on my phone for years for a daily word but they have since made what was a free feature now paid. I understand the developers need to fund development of the app, but the point of the freemium model is to make paid features compelling enough to make it worthwhile, not to change the basic feature set to a subscription.

Ever since you switched to a subscription model the Apple Watch app no longer syncs and clicking restore purchase doesn’t work. App is great on iPhone and Mac though. I’ve paid for the one time purchase premium before. The restore works fine on iPhone and mac but not on the watch. Please fix.

Bought this a few months ago as a paid for app. Quite fun but a bit janky (kept sending me the same word of the day on my watch). Now it has a subscription service which has quite an intrusive upsell on the app. No longer an enjoyable experience, especially given that I bought it and the service has changed. Not recommended.

using for a while, seeing what the kids, seeing what they described the word accounted for, if they could spell it, and use it in a constructive phase. For what’s is worth, all showed improvement in all areas and we have started looking into other apps which (may) have the potential (as well not taking teachers time with the children, so far, I find it hard to believe an app can take the time to get together and have a 1-1 with your children, where many, seemingly, different conversations can take place in a safe/protected environment), which can lead teachers/parents possibly knowing when they may be able to offer advice and help to the child.

Absolutely brilliant, easy to use and with so many functions. I love the learning section especially. Expensive but it was worth it.

I thought the idea behind this app was creative and I used very often. I wasted my time to curate all the interesting words into collections that I created. I've just opened the app today and all my collections are gone. I would not waste my time to recreate them because it would take a long time; and even if I wanted to, that would be impossible because the list of last shown words now just goes back to the last five words.
