I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max updated to the latest iOS, and using the latest version of Magellan TV app. Search does absolutely nothing for me! Put in a search term, press return, or the “Search” button, and nothing. Nothing happens. To search for something, I have to go the the website, find my program, add it to my watchlist, then go back to the app. My subscription is almost up. I would like to renew, but until I know that search will be fixed, I’ll hold off. Please fix!!! Thank you 🙏
Trying to watch ANYTHING, so far all I get is a black screen. Nothing is wrong with my phone. Tried it on my TV, still didn’t work. Every other app works. Tried to watch 4 separate documentaries and each one only had sound and captions no video. I deleted and reinstalled, same thing…. I give up. Super disappointed. Deleted for good.
I’ve never had an issue with the app being buggy or any glitches, and I genuinely love the content on this app. But, there is no option for continuous / auto play when it comes to playing the next episode of any series / show that I’m watching on my Apple TV; and that’s absolutely ridiculous for 2024. Even though I like all the historical content, I hate that I have to stop what I’m doing to go out of the current episode, go into the new one and play the next one, especially if I am in the middle of cleaning or cooking and playing something on the tv in the background. I’ve been subscribed to this app for almost 3 months, and it’s just not convenient; so I’m canceling my subscription.
I have to log in every night at 8 pm. Even if I have just watched something the same day. Also, often just has blank screen when I open the app
The content is amazing. But the app itself needs a lot of work. I can barely open it half the time on both my Apple TV and my LG smart tv. With every device it syncs back to to last episode watched on that device instead of keeping up. And if I watch in my tv and then go to the gym it asks me to sign in again. So daily I am having to sign into the app. Even now I been writing this review and what I want to watch is still loading.
The content is great if it ever loads my other media apps work fine this one has trouble with the quicktime player leaving me staring at a blank screen for too long maybe if they can figure out their video playing can make the experience smoother I’ll come back.
The app is continuously crashing. It will not open for more than a few seconds.
Content is good but the apps all over the different devices are garbage. It’s not saving watching progress and kicking you back to the start. Tried on LG smart tv and IOS as well. This is just unacceptable.
Did this app go through QA?! Review as of Jan ‘24. - No option to turn off autoplay. - And, autoplay plays random video, not next video in the series you’re watching. - Search function gives you a bunch image results that aren’t scaled correctly so you can’t see the title of video. A list of text titles would be infinitely more useful. - Doesn’t keep you logged in! Only service I’ve ever used where I have to use the web version and not the app. At least it keeps me logged in. Autoplay and search functions are simply broken. iPad Pro user. Depressingly disappointing.
