Great magazine, terrible app

For a tech magazine it is astonishing that the app could be this bad. Incredibly slow loading for everything, even just opening the app. Got so frustrated with it not responding that I kept pressing the same button and accidentally subscribed for a year!! Luckily the actual magazine is good.

Total disappointment

Instead of the relaxing read I was looking forward to I get an hour of frustration waiting for more than two pages to download.

What an epic FAIL

If it want bad enough that the old issues are gone, the application has a non intuitive user interface and fail to achieve the very basic task that it in theory was designed to do. If it was designed to be counter to Apples' design guidelines, annoying to use and failed to even complete basic tasks like allow you to redo load previous issues then well done! It may even be possible to do these things but the user interface is so obscure that it is unusable. You keep hitting buttons to try and work out what they do. It is not very difficult to provide a magazine reader but it's a mystery to me how to even try that feature without buying new magazines and I was not willing to do that so bye bye Make. Thankfully a different group must manage your website....

Good, especially for international

The magazine is great. The iPad version is a good way to get the magazine for international customers and has a benefit over the PDF version of interactivity. There does seem to be a delay in posting the new magazines though, a friend in Canada has had his print copy for several weeks now and I'm yet to see the 45 update.

Think twice...

Content of the mag is great, but the app is just frustrating. Logged in, but am unable to download issue, crashing constantly. Better off with the PDF download in my opinion.

Very annoying to get invalid login on iPad but the same login works on android phone. Why pay extra for digital?

why didn’t I heed the others bad reviews?

Terrible app. Unable to log in. They got my money. No access. No password, no log in, NO ACCESS Terrible experience. I plan to charge back if they don’t supply me with a log in password within 12 hours from now.

Reviews of this app go back only 2 years

I want to subscribe to digital but you only have reviews of your app going back 2 years. Those reviews are universally terrible. But you most recent update is 7 months ago. How is that possible? How is anyone to know your subscription is worth $35? And if have been burned before by generic apps made by cheap designers who sell it to publishers who don’t know they got what they paid for; a buggy app locked into a feature set you can’t change and poor technical support. The publisher gets screwed but ultimately the subscribers do with a poor quality app. Which brings me back why you haven’t allowed reviews in 2 years. I guess I will have to go elsewhere to find subscribers who can tell me if your app is worth your subscription. 1 star for zero transparency

App is TERRIBLE

The app takes forever to load when it does load. 90 % of the time it does not recognize my subscription. It is practically unusable. I gave it one star because negative stars are not available.

Can’t even login

App is now completely useless. Logging in on the computer for digital is fine, but not via the app.
