Developers put zero effort to keep the app alive, it still not updated to iphone screens newer than iphone 5.

The catalog and interface are good but the App is very unstable. Lots of connection errors, I’d suggest hiring a good backend engineer.

You’re forcing subscriber’s hands by making it so difficult for them to read manga legally on their phone. Like many have complained, you’ll get an error when you attempt to access the app after you click out of it after your prior use. It’s so frustrating! It will not be resolved unless you delete and redownload the app, but this problem WILL KEEP OCCURRING. It’s as if they don’t want you to use the site at all. Almost like... they want you to... read it illegally. I have attempted to read Crunchyroll Mangas on my Safari but it’s not mobile friendly either. The only way that you can read mangas from Crunchyroll is from your laptop/computer. If you’re mostly on your phone then your subscription is wasted. PLEASE FIX AND UPDATE YOUR APP.

I don’t understand why the full mangas aren’t on this, just chapter one and the most recent chapters... very bad

The app itself has a nice structure and the content is good quality BUT you can’t read through one manga because after every chapter you‘ll get an authentication error. Restarting the app doesn’t resolve it and a re-install only gives you a 50-50 chance to resolve it. Yet again after one chapter the issue is back. While I do love the content chrunchyroll is offering they do have to work HEAVILY on the performance issues for both apps (manga/anime).

The selection is pretty good but the app seems to be half broken for a long time now. It’s gets stuck authenticating most times and even when you can log in you often get 400 request errors trying to read chapters.

I really like the slick pan, zoom, and fade effects offered by the reading guide. Image quality is great too. However all is not well... As many others have reported this app is prone to infinite "Authenticating" screens when you open it, necessitating a reinstall. Nothing to do with having an old phone iPhone XR), poor connectivity (decent wifi or good 4G), lack of space (10s of GB free), permissions, whether signed in or out, or membership status. At this point I've spent longer looking at "authenticating" screens and re-installing the app than actually using it! Poor form Crunchyroll... Fix your product!

The app freezes whenever you try to sign in and if you close the app it will begin an authentication process when you reopen it which never ends. You then need to uninstall and redownload the app to use any of the functions that are supposed to be available. I’m really disappointed in this app as I’m a huge fan of the Crunchyroll anime app and if this app worked I’d use it frequently.

When I try to open the app starts a authentication that last forever and I have to delete and reinstall the app again. I have done this several times but now it’s even reinstalling the app it’s working. I use a iphone 7 not sure if the same problem applies on other devices.

Great app with nice selection of manga across wide genre.
