Marathon: Watch & Discuss

A great complement to Letterboxd, which doesn’t include TV shows - but functions incredibly slowly, and crashes too often. Inability to select “Watched all” for a show, which makes logging tedious and time-consuming.

So I just got the app and am totally loving it. But I was wondering if maybe you (the creator lol) could maybe take a suggestion..? I was thinking that the app should have a option for when making reviews to add a link/hyperlink. This update would really help me since I love to put links in my reviews to bring people to videos and such. Anyways.. that’s all I had to say. Hope you’d maybe take in my suggestion :)

I’ve been looking for an app like this for so long, and this is the only good one I’ve found so far.

Was looking for a Letterboxd style experience for tracking TV shows, and Marathon is a gorgeous way to do so. The app is simple, yet powerful and pulling info from Justwatch means that you can easily see what services shows are on as well. I’d love to see some sort of ‘Want to watch’ list added in the future. Right now I’m sort of using the ‘Paused’ list for this functionality, but I’d love to separate shows that I’d like to continue from ones I haven’t started yet.

Useful, user-friendly and straightforward! There is of course more space for improvement I can tell that with feature updates it will get better and better, however I would love to see more, I have yet to explore what other features lay around, my only request so far is that I’d love for the search page to give more suggestions not only “Trending” it feels so limited and users have to search manually.

I’ve long wanted a tv equivalent of Letterboxd and I think tvtime never quite lived up to it. This app is new and has some issues but I think it has the potential to be exactly that.

You can tell the people who made this care about making an app that does something in the tracking space for tv shows. The check marking works well, the watch list updates intuitively, and there are frequent updates. Gotta remember this a young app that still has a lot of room to grow.

I just downloaded Marathon for the first time and love the format of it! My only concern is that it has been very slow when trying to click anything. Has this been happening to other people or is it just me? I want to keep using it, it’s just been a little frustrating.
