Scaling
The note icons are very small. On a 12.9in iPad it doesn’t scale to the larger iPad’s size to the point that it looks ridiculous on this format. Not sure if any development in being made on iOS.

I use Melodics to learn drums. It’s fabulous at: Learning different techniques Motivating me to keep practicing Making learning an instrument enjoyable & fun. Really need subscription to get the most out of it, but there’s enough in free version to get a good feel for it. Also the review complaining about red dots is almost certainly a problem with their equipment, not the app.
THESE STUPID RED DOTS TURN UP EVEN WHEN I HAVE DONE NOTHING RONG (LIKE WHEN I HAVE GREEN 🟩 AND FOR SOME REASON THERE IS AN RED DOT 🔴 IN THE MIDDLE)! Can you please delete this feature because it is definitely bugging. I only use Melodics for drums 🪘 und piano 🎹. I thought after the updates you’d change something about it, but no. Now I’m stuck with working on lessons for ages, without getting any progress. It ruins the experience, and for a flaw of that size, you should make Melodics cheaper. -groaningzombie877
On the app page it says it’s free, only the software is, which is a distortion. Clearly mean you can use the. However that is pc version, it is not free to use melodies on iPad you have to pay £25 to use it. There is not free lessons like the pc version. I cannot use the ps for app. Melodic discriminates against iPad users Avoid, avoid.
Couldn’t try it out on my iPad, Didn’t work
I’ve been a subscriber and using Melodics to learn e-drums for a little over a year on Windows 10 and really loved it. I decided to switch to keys as I’d also always wanted to play piano, especially as I didn’t manage to keep up with my daughter’s learning for 14 years. It wasn’t convenient to connect the full sized keyboard to the PC so I decided to try iPad. I bought a non-Apple powered USB->Lightning adapter and had no setup or connection issues at all. It works flawlessly. Having the iPad just sitting on the integrated music stand is so convenient. I’m really enjoying the varied keys lessons for chords, rhythm and melody and running a 15 day streak so far. The communication and support from the Melodics team by email and Slack is really fast and always helpful. Highly recommended!
Love the idea but I have tried connecting to my octapad, v drums and light pad block and none of them work. Hopefully will have more luck with the PC app
Works as expected with my M_Audio Keystation 49 Mk3. so glad I can practice without having to fire up the desktop every time.
Can’t get it to work with my novation pro pad
I was looking forward to checking the iPad app out as I can’t connect my laptop to my keyboard. But it doesn’t work at all unless you have a paid subscription. You can try the desktop app without a subscription, but not the iPad app. Why? Stupid business decision.
