Miele app – Smart Home

The app when it works correctly is good, but it’s very inconsistent and appears to have had updates since we first purchased the machine and the app has gotten worse not better, particularly if you want to delay the start of your wash. We actually went through a period of a few weeks where the app wouldn’t work at all - hubby emailed Miele, but never even got a response! Very poor Miele - you need to get your customer service sorted! Very disappointing for the amount we spent on the washing machine ☹️

We recently completed our new kitchen outfitted with Miele appliances, but the complexity of the equipment has been overwhelming. Even the installer from Corte Ingles struggled to operate them and promised to bring in a Miele expert for assistance. Unfortunately, no one has come to help us yet. We really regret our decision to invest in Miele appliances.

I would like to trial a robot vacuum cleaner and connect my existing appliances but the options seem rather limited.

My friend bought me the and rated it so highly I bought the washer dryer WT one selection wash and dry 8/5 kg. I love it however the beep at the end of the cycle goes on for what feels like hours and hours and I can’t switch it off I can’t reprogram it. Also it took ages and ages to get the app to connect to the machine but I still can’t get the mobile start feature working

Fantastic products. Expensive. Biggest negative is App a nightmare if internet provider is changed.

Getting an alert on the app when my washing is ready is very useful, but why can’t I stop the machine continuously beeping when the cycle has finished from within the app? If I can’t get to the machine instantly, it just beeps at me for 15 minutes till I can. The app should be able to stop the beeping without me having to be at the machine. Seems such a basic thing to be missing. The suggested washing cycles for your selected clothes wash is handy.

It’s like an app that’s been produced just because they were told they needed an app to appear modern. Its functionality is awful and it doesn’t really help with running your appliance. E.g. you can set the program for your washing but not set it to start.

In a second occurrence in three years, all the appliances have mysteriously disappeared. Wrote an email to ask for a solution, the excellent customer service replies: we can see them but reinstall app and add all appliances again. Like the customer’s time is just a commodity. Bad app and careless customer service. Miele is not as good as people say. Our high end washing machine failed two times, the induction hob was badly designed, not heating pots harmoniously and the combi oven glass cannot be cleaned by us and requires a £309 service for cleaning it. AVOID.

The app is really handy and relatively easy to use but could be better. Maybe a first time walk through for when you first download the app as well as a symbol definition table as it is quite hard to find it in the book. Also, would be handy if you could actually start the load that you have programmed in on the app rather than needing to press start on the appliance. Seems to defeat the need to program it on the app when you need to start it on the appliance anyway.

Really helpful app that let’s me know how long until my wash is ready. 2 suggestions, a widget or time display on the app icon would be useful and also the ability to enter a finish time. But all in all really useful thanks.
