I appreciate that the app developer needs to get rewarded, but this app goes too far. I was able to accept that I might have to view an ad for a few seconds before proceeding, but you now HAVE to interact to get anywhere. Sorry, you’ve gone too far. I’ve deleted the app.
This app used to be great, but I no longer have any faith in it. I often take a bus to my nearest town, to change to another bus to a village on the main route to another major town. Moovit used to be able to handle this, and was very useful. It now doesn’t recognise the second bus as an option, so it suggests that I walk, cycle or get an Uber! I told Moovit about this issue months ago. They say they have passed the information on to their technical team. No improvement though. Save your money and use Apple Maps or Google Maps, as I have to do now for this journey. Although I got a good deal on their Premium service, I won’t be renewing it as I no longer trust the app. If it can’t tell me a route that I know about, how can I trust it when I am on unfamiliar territory? I can’t. And, by the way Moovit, if I want an Uber, I’ll use the Uber app!
I paid for the subscription for 6 months because my daughter uses it to get information about the buses to and from college. Every single time either of us(same account) opens the app we have to restore the purchase because it’s full of ads. There are times you just don’t have time to mess around with that, and you shouldn’t have to if you’ve paid for a service without the ads and popups. It’s a pain.
In theory this is a brilliant app to have and it has lots of brilliant features but there are so many ads I can barely use it. I wanted to check my bus from home and it took me almost five minutes to search up my bus. Sometimes the pop up ads don’t have the x in the corner so I have to close the app and reopen it losing my progress!! I really hope they get rid of some of these ads because other than that it would be a great app to use.
I don’t travel on busses that often but this used to be a handy app when I did, so full of ads now it’s unusable, nobody want to be directed to Sheen when they’re working g out if they need to jump on the bus at the stop or not
I’ve used this app for a few years now local to home, plus travelling around the UK and Europe. It has been brilliant until the last couple of months. It gave incorrect last bus details in the Leeds area resulting in us getting an unnecessary taxi just as a none listed service pulled up. The app is missing some local bus services in Cheshire. These routes were covered previously but have been removed. The 130 which is a daily service only shows the Sunday timetable. Thinking of deleting as if I know it’s so wrong in areas I’m familiar with how do I trust it abroad.
Free version is riddled with very intrusive ads popping on you every 15 seconds, some of them are stupid games that cannot be closed without killing an app. Also, live bus information is incomplete, there are no stop numbers/codes or fare info; pretty useless here.
I’m 20 miles from Leeds yet the default “lines” are all based in Leeds. The server is still on GMT+1 though the clocks went back on Sunday. Annoying and irrelevant ads. I’ll try it for a bit but I think it might go pretty soon.
