Muse — canvas for ideas

Is there a way go use older versions of the app? It’s a great app for creating moodboards and ideas and the pro membership is a nice price for what it offers however due to updates the app has lost its smooth and seamless feeling. It’s gone from a clean looking iPad app to something that looks and feels like a desktop app that wasn’t made for iPads. It’s hard to explain but going between things isn’t as smooth (such as pinching to move out of a board) and I would like to be able to remove the bar at the top of the screen, to strip it back. Having lots of features and staying minimal isn’t easy but I believe Muse can pull it off I do however like the additions of being able to collaborate and make new workspaces. It’s great like an app to see like this growning.

.. I’ll give it another go. The update to V3.0 was ‘not’ smooth for me. There were a host of issues with trying to login & so on. However, I’m very pleased to see an update rushed out in less than 24hrs. So, I’ll go again, and if all works well, I’ll come back & upgrade the stars on ratings!

there aren’t many apps that change the game like this, and Muse is definitely one of those things that takes thought and UI into consideration to create a powerful experience

The App really appeals to me, I think it would suit the way I work perfectly. I would love to use it. But I think developing an idea I have would eat 500 cards in no time, so I’d be spending £8.50PCM just to maintain a planning store .. that’s just too much. Maybe £1 and £3.50 for Starter and Pro.

Love this way of thinking and working. At the first stage of thinking about an idea, and trying to make it come to life, not having boundaries really helps, but all of your thinking still flows. It really works for me.

Otherwise document titles are too distracting, if they are simply always present on the board, even when the particular document´s not being interacted with.

app become unusuable with apple pencil, lagging horribly

Fantastic app planned my whole trip on iPad so I just downloaded it onto my iPhone 11 Pro Max and it tells me to sign in to my iCloud which I’m always signed into. So frustrating. Can’t use it. Have to bring my iPad Pro on a three week wild camping trip. Nightmare

You won’t get Muse immediately, it takes a while. But actually it is insanely useful. They market themselves as a thinking tool, and that’s true but it’s actually so much more. It’s not really about Muse itself but the ‘idea’ of Muse is completely brilliant.

Very overpriced for basic minimalist options. Shame as I’d use this at a lower cost. Deleted.
