MusicBox: Save Music for Later

Easily one of my most used apps, so simple to use and perfectly designed for its purpose. My Apple Music library is so much tidier now! Thank you so much for this amazing tool.

Nothing worse than finding an album to check out add it to your library so you don’t forget it only to listen and decide it’s not for you. MusicBox allows you to ‘bookmark’ an album so you come back to it later. This way you only add it to your library if you like it. Simple and well conceived worth every $ - in fact worth more!!

I knew I was missing this app, I just didn’t know how much I wanted it until I found MusicBox. Previously, I used a shortcut I built that sent the Apple Music link to a Reminders list I called Music to Check. It mostly worked, but I never liked having this in Reminders and I only got the link back to Music. With MusicBox I have a dedicated app, it shows me the full info of the song or album, I can sort and tag. And the smart search is perfect. I realised I haven’t been excited about a new app in years. This is what the App Store was like at the beginning. We’ll done to the dev!

MusicBox has earned a spot alongside Marvis Pro as an essential app to use with Apple Music. I love the new iOS 18 control center feature to play a random saved item.

The level of quality is astonishing. Such a useful and well thought out piece of software. Thank you for your devotion and continuous development!

Please make the option to add a singular song or an entire discography straight from the music box search feature 🤍

This is a super useful app, as it allows me to “bookmark” things I want to come back to, without cluttering up my Apple Music library. My only criticism is that I really wish there was an option to toggle/hide the 4 large default panels at the top of the Start Screen (if there’s a way to do this, it’s not obvious) - I interact with MusicBox entirely using Tags and Smart Searches, and those 4 default buttons are just useless clutter for me.

This is a great concept! - Could you please add Spotify capabilities, or flip this app (launch a new one) to have Spotify as the main character? Thanks and best regards!

I've been looking for a good solution for album-focused listening, and after much trial and error, I'm happy to have found MusicBox. One feature I'd like to see is an option to list all artists in the sidebar, not just artists that have new music. Perhaps an option to list artists with new music first, and the rest in alphabetical below? Thanks for your careful consideration in designing this app. It shows!
