No custom option to add fund
It's crazy that I can choose how much I'd like to add. I may only need $4.5 to use the landry for short term and I turned out have to pay at least $20.

So many times I’ve gone all the way to my building’s laundry room without my wallet just to find that MyMagicPass needs to be reloaded but has forgotten my card info. There’s no need for an app if I have to take my wallet every time I do laundry.
The system takes forever to reset whenever someone is done with the washers. It says the machines are in use when they are not. If it’s a celular data issue then you would think it obvious that these machines operate in building basements. Even when the machines are ready to use it’s a gamble on whether it’ll accept the payment and tell you the washer is busy WHEN IT OBVIOUSLY ISNT.
When you sell things everything is online, when i purchase the card and out money i can just sit on my couch and do everything online but when i ask refund, i have mail the card back to your adresse. and than you send us check. why when you sell everything is easy, online. but when it comes to refund i need to go post office. this system is stupid. this is the worst work ethic. this is stealing money. this is selling and dont care about to customers. what if we are disabled, sick, old, or anything, why you give us hard time to refund us. all the big companies like this one, are just care about taking the money from people like us. and they dont give any good service. this is with one word stealing money. SHAME ON YOU!!!!
The machines either take my money or won’t let me pay to put money on the app. I don’t know what’s wrong, but I feel like this new washing machine. App thing was a bad idea for them or this company because they be having a lot of issues a lot of machines be breaking down some of the machines or dryer’s tend to not go on low mode it’s always something
App only lets you fund a minimum of $20 from a card which is the highest I’ve seen - usually it is $10 or less
It’s RIDICULOUS that u have to pay a lump sum of AT LEAST 20$ As a broke college student this app has taken the majority of my funds. For example today I didn’t buy groceries for the week because I had to do laundry. In a normal world I could’ve done both. I only spent 7$ out of the 20$ but now I have to wait to get payed again to eat cause all my money is locked inside the app. Btw the app itself DOES NOT WORK its constantly WRONG about when to pick up your clothes and what machines are available. It’s completely USELESS and if anything causes more stress to my day than not. ALSO in NO WAY is it a money saver. 2.50$ per wash and 2.50$ per dry that’s INSANE especially since the washers are SO TINY that u have to buy 2 LOADS to fill 1 DRYER
let us add the amount we can pay per cycle!!! it’s not fair to make us put a minimum $20, messed up and scammy. will not be using your services and will tell all my friends to avoid
It’s frustrating there isn’t an option to select a specific dollar amount to add to my “funds”. You should be able to pay per cycle instead of being forced to add a lump sum of $20, $30, $60 etc. to your fund. Doing laundry is a pay per service situation and not everyone is able to add a minimum of $20 to an app in order to clean their clothes. You also need to be standing directly in front of the washer and connected to Bluetooth for it to work. Which is fun if your washing machine/dryer are located in a basement and the wifi isn’t so hot.
My building just added new machines that have this app integration. So far it works fine, I haven’t had any issues with paying and using the machines and is a nice alternative to the manual money cards we had before. My biggest issue is with the app showing if the machines are in use or not. Because the manual cards are still an option, as far as I can tell, if you pay with the manual money card, the app will not show that the machine is in use on the app. It only shows that it is in use if someone pays via the app. That would be fine if the app is the only option of paying but it is not, and a lot of the older residents will only ever use the money cards. So I run into situations where it says the machines are available but they are not. It’s very annoying walking down to the laundry room and the machines are not free. This system was suppose to fix that problem but it really hasn’t. It seems like a major over site for the machine to not show as in use regardless of how people pay. PLEASE FIX THIS! It would make the experience much better.
