My Passport Wireless

Removed ability to access devices without connecting to the WD cloud. WD MyCloud Drives I bought a few years ago are now useless and can be used for paperweight only.

Over and above the many inconsistencies I along with many other consumers are experiencing is unreliability and inconsistency with ZERO back up support! My latest problem now is the fact that my passport pro wireless cannot connect wirelessly to any of my 6 devices that all connected seamlessly previously. What has gone wrong now, I bet nobody knows, I am tired of resetting this hard drive on a regular basis to flush out the bugs that shouldn’t even be there especially at this price point! Sam Disk is just as bad if not even worse !

App is basic and boring. Usually works but it feels like it could do so much more.

The app takes constant user maintenance to actually work. I have had to delete and re-install this app due to the fact that it just doesn’t access my cloud. Then some of my files are missing, then it stops uploading my files as setup. Then then then...... there is always something. I expected more from Western Digital and to top it off, this accompanies a very expensive product range! The least you can do is to make sure the app is elite that will contribute to your product range it’s intended for!

Mostly unreliable.

Has worked very well for me over a year. I so like being able to access my data and watch movies far from home.

Search function doesn’t work too well if at all. And it’s slow.

Some instructions are a bit unclear, but if you take the time to figure out the kinks it works amazingly

General network error, cannot connect any mobile devices anymore. Western Digital should update their apps more often, instead of leaving customers with a useless device. Pay attention Western Digital!

Typical of WD the o basics are hellish. This app requires you to register. The registration requires a 9 digit number on the rear of the device. There only an 8 digit number and a bunch of much longer numbers. You, therefore, cannot register and therefor can’t use the device from iPad. Rubbish.
