Every time I go to use it, it has logged me out, or worse (blank screen).
Currently asking me to login with a litany of personal details - not my southern cross username and password. Why would I bother doing that when I can use use the website - with my southern cross username and password. Easy.
I don’t see the point in _this_ app. It only makes my life worse, not better. Why have it?
Worst login handling of any app, ever.
When the app gets updated you need to:
- get your membership number by logging in through a browser.
- navigating to the part of your account with membership ID
- login to app with membership num, date of birth, email address and password
- identify every square with a fire hydrant
- identify every square with a motorcycle
- retrieve secret squirrel 2-factor authentication code from email
- refract the light from the actual Southern Cross constellation through a specifically placed, cursed Ruby on some ancient cuneiform writing to reveal a hidden code
- choose a four digit code
- repeat four digit code
- enable Face ID
- begin claim or go to bed, it’s been a big night so far and you need your energy for the next day
Every. Single. Time.
It couldn’t be a worse experience if it tried.
Someone somewhere must surely be able to fix it.
Useless
I've been logged out numerous times and it's a joke of an app.
Not great
App is fine to check claims etc. But whenever you have to update the app logging back in requires you to add all your details again from scratch including your policy number which is very annoying. The app also wouldn’t for me recently and I just kept getting an error message rather than it saying update required. Overall a frustrating app to use with customer UX not really thought about. If i dont have to re submit all my details when my banking app updates why do i need to do it for a health insurance app!
Poorly designed app
I had the same experience as some other reviewers. Can’t even log into the system as they send you an authentication code but it takes an hour to come to your email inbox, by which time it’s expired and you can’t use it. Have tried multiple times. Very frustrating.
Login is awful
Why oh why do you have a totally different login process for the app than for your website? And to make the login process in the app so clunky… boo.
Pointless
The latest version of the app no longer seems to upload photos either from the camera or the camera roll. The app is also significantly slower than previous versions and this is on an iPhone 15.

did you fired entire mobile app team, cant have login malfunction for 3 months, specially every 1 star review mentioned it
Easier to log in via website
WHY do I have to re-enter my name, DOB, policy number, AND verification code, and then re-choose a PIN or biometric unlock method every time this app updates?! It is much easier to log into the website.
Wish it could remember me
The app works pretty well for checking my claims and making new ones and seeing how much I could spend on medical services I hope not to need, *but* again and again when I open it, it has forgotten who I am and I have to set it up from scratch, entering my membership card number and so on. Then it has the cheek to ask me to choose a four digit PIN to make signing in quicker next time. It never remembers the PIN, even on the rare occasions when I open it and only need to sign in, not set it up all over again. Why offer this feature if you can’t make it work? It’s sufficiently annoying to lose two stars.
