MyPatientSpace App
I recently had to undergo knee replacement surgery. From the time the date for surgery was fixed, I was invited to join the My Patient Space programme, from the hospital in question. The App was well set out with plenty of information in relation to the procedure I was to undergo and regular updates received as the time for admission drew near, with “what to do next” info and a checklist for preparing to go in to hospital and setting up the house in advance of my return home. For me and what I found most beneficial and motivational, was the physio programme set out for preparing for the op and now since returning home, the rehab element associated with a (hopeful) return to active living. This App really has been a great help. For anyone who does get enrolled be sure to keep in touch with it, the information changes relative to your Pre and post op timings and I would advocate adherence with it. If, as happened me, a problem arises with connection to it, be sure to draw it to someone’s attention (your consultants secretary, for example) and as also happened me, the VERY helpful developers will resolve the issue. Well done on a great App.
