Need some updates
I’m writing this in July 2021. The app works. But very buggy, definitely needs an update. I got the app along with the wireless unit to be able to control the LeD tubes from a distance. And several if I use more than 4. If you need to use it for Intensity or colour adjustments, it works decently. The problem lies in the connections. We used it on a small budget projects and this is what we found. Sometimes the lights wouldn’t change at the same time or the intensity would be off on some lights if using Sync-Link mode. The app itself has issues with the buttons, even as a touch screen sometimes it doesn’t respond. You can’t touch the LeD effects or it crashes the app and the link to the light, leaving the light in whatever effect you touched. Sometimes the app would work fine then all of a sudden all of the lights would jump off link and you have to go back to the light, re-address and re-sync. Not fun when lights are 20FT in the air acting as overhead colour lighting. So yea, if the NanGuang/Nanlight team could fix these few software bugs, they could have a strong contender of app controllable lights in their hands. But til then … it’s really for last minute low-budget projects.
