National Post

I’ve subscribed to the National Post for years. Recently, I wound up paying significantly more for the app, but have access to more editions which is nice. It doesn’t help that every time I want to read an article, the content is blocked and signing in is not possible because of the unending revolving circle. Same result when trying to sign in on the website. Zero value for my money! This really needs to be fixed and quickly. My subscription expires Sept 8. I will be canceling if this is not fixed by then.

Useless. Can’t see anything without an account. Go to the website instead.

This has got to be worst newspaper app on the market. And that is too bad because the content is good, if you actual get it to load and read. You click on an article then the never ending circle wheel starts up in the top left corner and good luck if the article ever loads. When it does you can’t scroll up. Then the app freezes altogether and you have to exit and try it all over again. And yes, I am paying subscriber but am having a horrendous user experience. They also recently updated the app and made it worse. Now it doesn’t support a landscape view. You have to turn your iPad 90° and read it in portrait mode. Plus there is a big delay in loading articles. I actually don’t know how a company (or why a company ) struggling to survive would take a mediocre app and turn it into a literally very poor app. It is definitely not worth the electrons it would take up on your iPad. Again, too bad because the content and writers are very good. Go ePaper instead. Even the. There are some issues but not a lot.

I enjoy the National Post but this app needs some work… most annoying as now I can only read it in portrait view… it used to rotate but not any more. Please fix this.

Landscape mode not working

I have subscribed to the Post since it started, but this app is a major disappointment. I like the easy access to the different Post Media papers, but the layout is not really user friendly. The latest update now only works in portrait mode on my iPad; it used to auto rotate between landscape and portrait - that’s a major annoyance.

Now "requires" an account to read any article. Basically now is just a headline screener. Lousy and useless. Get an account and get spammed continually for paid account. Better info available elsewhere. No objections from me to paying - but I refuse to support their extortionate work on grabbing money from us. Most "news" is now just copy/paste from Canadian Press garbage. Horrible app.

A function app, allows a quick view of both the Financial Post and National Post. Good quality national focus.
