While the home page opens fast enough thereafter the links to news stories just doesn’t open whatever the connection - wifi or mobile…

All the widgets are working except the week in pictures, it’s blank when you add it to the Home Screen

Hardly a day after the official release of iOS 14 3 different types of widgets were released. What a great job. The Covid widget is especially helpful.

The app has been unwieldy since the redesign. The video progress bar doesn’t work when one tries to pick a point to go back/skip to (would be nice to be able to tap to go back/forward 10 seconds too.) There is no way to turn off the closed captions, which is made worse by the fact that they are many seconds off. On the Apple TV all videos play in low-res despite plenty of bandwidth being available. The same videos play in HD quality on the iOS and Nvidia Shield app.

Good stuff

The app is good for advertisement but poor to shows the videos. One can only hear sound but the video freezes. Please fix it.

Please give us dark mode, filter news notifications by topics, and please stop pausing my music when I open the app.

The inability to stop NBC News Now from running when you open this app and stopping any other audio you have going has ruined this app for me. It makes it essentially unusable as I cannot open it and read the news while listening to music because it stops the music and autoplays NBC News Now and there is absolutely no way to turn this off. Please make it stop.

Avid user for quite some time. However, one of the recent updates enabled auto play of NBC News Now videos plus automatic background audio when minimized. The problem with this is, if you minimize the app and don't notice the audio is playing in the background it will continue to stream and drain your battery. I have noticed the app doing this on both my iPhone 15 Pro and my iPad M4 Pro. The app should provide a visual indication and ask if I want to continue to stream the audio when minimizing. And there needs to be an option to completely disable this functionality. Please fix asap!
