Needs profile specific controls & reporting
Kinda useless without the ability to restrict time limits per user. Such basic functionality.

Nintendo Switch Parental Controls™ is a free app that allows you to easily monitor your child's use of the Nintendo Switch console.
(Please note: A Nintendo Switch console with the latest available system version is required to use this app.)
With Nintendo Switch Parental Controls, you can:
1. Monitor your child's play time on the console.
Set a daily play time limit, which notifies your child on the console when time's up for the day. You can also check this app to see how long they've been playing. If necessary, you can also use the "Suspend Software" feature to make the console go into sleep mode when the set time is reached.
2. Find out what games your child plays.
Nintendo Switch Parental Controls provides convenient reports that show you what video games have been played on the console recently and how much time was spent playing each day.
View daily reports and monthly summaries of play activity. If you choose to receive push notifications, you'll be notified when a new monthly summary is available.
This will help you learn what games your child enjoys most.
3. Set restrictions to ensure your child can play safely, no matter their age.
Easily restrict features of the Nintendo Switch console as appropriate for your child. This includes restricting games above specific age ratings.
Attention:
● In order to use the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app, a parent or guardian (aged 18 or above) needs to have a Nintendo Account.
● You can set purchasing restrictions, including restrictions on purchasing products and services in Nintendo eShop, in the Nintendo Account settings.
● In order to make use of all of the features and settings available in the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app, all linked Nintendo Switch consoles need to be using the latest system version.

Woeful
This is probably the worst piece of software ever made. Kids know more about these things than parents, so you would think Nintendo would make it easy. Oh no, nothing makes sense. There is no direct correlation to what the console asks you to do, to what you are asked to do on this software. I’ve had to delete my child’s profile on the device and put his on as an adult (he’s 9) as you can’t make any changes that as a parent, you feel fit for your child to have access to.

My child going nuts because he can’t get microphone to work on headset as I can’t fathom how to switch off parental controls
Not very functional
Feels like the app was rushed. Missing loads of features and the UX is a bit weird. Poor show from Nintendo.
Not v parent/child-friendly
The app is quite basic. Something as simple as giving the player 10/5 min warning or a countdown puts them in control of play time. Promote awareness- not make the parent the enemy

Doesn’t do what it says on the tin!
Not as much control
Unable to suspend software on touch has to be timed , also unable to prevent child from using certain software , child can play Nintendo if they enter the pin wrong they will by pass the parental control feature. Pretty useless app
Fails to stop play when time limit is up
The software no longer stops the kids from playing when the time limit is up. A screen prompt says time is up but it doesn’t stop the kids from continuing to play. It did work but now it no longer works. I reinstalled the software but still no success
Exceptional app with a lot functionalities that work, not invasive. Highly recommended.
Worthy of try it, very happy with it.
It didn’t help me control play time
Setting total play time limit applies to all switch profiles rather than individual profiles. Someone else already used the total time before you use the switch? - then you have no time left. But that is inconsequential as anyone can carry on playing and ignore the ‘times up’ alert. There is also no way of stopping anyone else playing on your profile and wrecking your game.
