Official Kodi Remote

Like everything Kodi, the app is an inconsistent and overcomplicated hodgepodge of functionality but the core features are solid and it is extremely powerful. Just so you know: you *JUST* need HTTP remote access, not the other confusing and insecure JSON-RPC access on a separate port, and you don't need to input the MAC address.

Everyone is saying it’s easy to setup but there’s no information on how to set up…? No idea how to set it up

Doesnt work for me. Checked IP address, password and user name. Plex works fine! Developer reply might as well be in an unknown language. I have no idea what they mean! Oh well.

So major issue and I’m sure the blame will be put on the individual sources… but for example crew, all the menu items don’t show properly and have the code for the text colour etc as part of the menu options Just needs some cleaning up, any chance of further updates or is this it? Thanks

Does what it needs to. Would be good to have the same view options for TV shows as there are for movies. And the way you organise and connect to different instances of Kodi could be less convoluted. Overall it’s ok, it’s free so can’t complain too much.

I’ve used a few different Kodi remote apps a but I think this one is the best/easiest to use. One feature I would like to see though is a better way to queue TV Shows. 2 features would be great: - Long press on TV Show Season to open a menu with ‘Play all (in sequence)’ which plays all of the episodes in the correct order. Would be good if it also had ‘Play all (random)’. - When viewing TV Show episodes list, would be good to have checkboxes on the left. Add a button for ‘Play episodes’ so users can play the selected episodes they want. Thanks!

App was rock solid, since the update can’t refresh any data and app just crashes

Fantastic app, I’ve been using it for ages, but since the iOS 14 update the app crashes suddenly, without warning on both my iPhone 6s and my iPad 2020, both these devices are newly updated to iOS 14.0.1. However, my iPhone 5 running iOS 10.3.4 the app still works flawlessly, so I’m pretty sure the issue is with apples update not Kodi remote.

The app is decent for controlling Kodi with your phone, but still no support for larger screen sizes of the iPhone X/XS (April 2019)!
