OsmAnd is an offline world map application based on OpenStreetMap (OSM), which allows you to navigate taking into account the preferred roads and vehicle dimensions. Plan routes based on inclines and record GPX tracks without an internet connection.
OsmAnd is an open source app. We do not collect user data and you decide what data the app will have access to.
Main features:
Map view
• Choice of places to be displayed on the map: attractions, food, health and more;
• Search for places by address, name, coordinates, or category;
• Map styles for the convenience of different activities: touring view, nautical map, winter and ski, topographic, desert, off-road, and others;
• Shading relief and plug-in contour lines;
• Ability to overlay different sources of maps on top of each other;
GPS Navigation
• Plotting a route to a place without an Internet connection;
• Customizable navigation profiles for different vehicles: cars, motorcycles, bicycles, 4x4, pedestrians, boats, public transport, and more;
• Change the constructed route, taking into account the exclusion of certain roads or road surfaces;
• Customizable information widgets about the route: distance, speed, remaining travel time, distance to turn, and more;
Route Planning and Recording
• Plotting a route point by point using one or multiple navigation profiles;
• Route recording using GPX tracks;
• Manage GPX tracks: displaying your own or imported GPX tracks on the map, navigating through them;
• Visual data about the route - descents/ascents, distances;
• Ability to share GPX track in OpenStreetMap;

Crash with the search fonction.
Crash when search an item with the search fonction.
Has potential but needs a lot of work on user interface.
The app is good and provides a good service, however, the user interface is complicated and not very intuitive.
Great but I’m not smart enough to use it
So good and so much potential. Needs to be run through a filter of someone without a software engineer program. A little complicated

J’aimais bien cette application mais il faut maintenant faire des paiements soit pas mois ou par année pour avoir CarPlay. J’aurai préféré l’acheter juste une fois. Je reviens à mon bon vrai GPS Garmin à cause de ça.
All inclusive plans not being honored
I have an active “All Inclusive” plan, but the new app (with new plans) won’t honor it. I don’t know if that’s intentional, or a glaring bug, but either way it feels like a bait and switch.
Not accurate
I have been using this app for a little while now. The last update fixed the crash when plotting a route so there is that. However I have had no luck in this app showing my position with any degree of accuracy. In the city it is typically out by about 10 blocks. When travelling the backcountry on my motorcycle my position is rarely where I actually am. It also does not show direction I am travelling in. In short I don’t trust it. I see the developer has responded with the app gets location information from my device. Yes it should. To add clarity all my other navigation apps work fine. Should have maybe added that sooner. I use Avenza, Garmin Earthmate and GPsDuo. They show my position accurately.
