Osmosis: Medical School Notes

I think the Osmosis is one of the best medical teaching aids available at the moment. But also has one of the worst implementations. 1. The app crashes constantly. 2. If you’ve downloaded a video before and it expires you can’t watch it again until you remove it from your library and reset the app. 3. Sometime a part of the lower screen will block the video, restart needed. 4. Picmonic affiliation, clicked a picture and was forcibly signed up to picmonic (who immediately) sold my email adress, and subsequently flooded my inbox with spam. 5. Slow video player, sometimes it just never starts. Restart again. Such a great tool covered in a horrible app. Step it up guys, make the app as useful as the contents.

The inability to use the app in split screen on the iPad makes it much less usable to me as I want to take notes at the same time.

I really appreciate the medical content provided by this app; the knowledge it offers and its presentation style are outstanding. However, I'm encountering several technical issues. For instance, when I minimize the app and then reopen it, or when it runs in the background for a while, the screen often turns black and fails to play videos. Additionally, videos frequently don’t load, just showing a loading icon indefinitely. Due to these problems, I find myself using the website via Safari, which works flawlessly. It's also worth noting that the app seems underdeveloped compared to the website. I hope this feedback can help improve the app, as it really has great potential.

I rely on using this for preparation before lectures (PA Student) but it doesn’t load videos very well off of WiFi and searching for videos doesn’t bring up the most relevant results. Sometimes I start typing out a word and it changes video results as I type with very odd results and some videos I want to watch but when I write the whole work that video isn’t part of the results.

Glitches CONSTANTLY. Sometimes just keeps trying to replay a video over and over again, while I’m trying to search for another topic or play a different video or do flashcards. It just repeatedly starts trying to play the same video over and over again. Also will randomly start a video over at the beginning when I’m in the middle of it. Lots of other glitches too.

I tried to open an account with the app, but it did not have my college listed for selection. I was unable to register and use the app.

Osmosis stands out as an exceptional tool for mastering challenging concepts. Its extensive video library offers a diverse range of content, making learning engaging and effective. I have truly seen my understanding and my exam scores skyrocket. However, what I feel sets it apart most is its commitment to free accessible education. As a user, I appreciate the app's dedication to making learning accessible to all.

I am very impressed with the video series and the interface. This app is user friendly and the resources that go along with the videos make studying and retention easier for me.

Is there an Arabic subtitle on the videos

I really wish I could use this resource, but the app consistently crashes and glitches. I have tried everything on the website for trouble shooting, but it still does not work on my Apple devices. I’m lucky if I can watch one video a day on my iPad.
