Oticon Companion

Brand new $5k hearing aids and when the software connects, it works fine. Unfortunately troubleshooting using any of the other suggestions does nothing. Apple iPhone 16 so it’s not the phone itself. Please fix this!

I am guessing Oticon has a human sloth responsible for maintaining and updating this app. Too many inoperable features to even list.Z!Z!Z!

I contacted Oticon for assistance in setting up the app in my new I Phone.Their assistance helped me set up the app and pair my hearing aids with my phone. Their support along with the app is great! Thanks!!

The find my hearing feature in the new app is worthless. You used to be able to play a sound and now there are just arrows in there to show if you are “close” or not. If the hearing aids aren’t connected because they aren’t in your ear it just shows the last address you were at when you took them out- also unhelpful because you might have gone 4 other places in the meantime. Reconnecting in the app takes forever even though the phone is already paired as you can answer your phone immediately. Not impressed at all. Even though the hearing aids are great.

What a fail. Used to be minimally useful. Now just annoyingly slow. Takes FOREVER to connect to devices. Fortunately in many situations my new AirPods Pros work well enough (and sometime better!) than my Oticon opns. I can’t wait for the next gen AirPods Pro!

Did the most recent update/ reverse course. As soon as I opened it, it came up in portrait mode and locked my iPad up. Suddenly won’t recognize my right hearing aid. Went to settings, it shows both hearing aids connected and I can control them from settings but not the app. Definitely not worth spending thousands of dollars on. Might be better ordering hearing aids off of the TV ads for $100. At least I wouldn’t expect them to be worth much. Hire real programmers.

This app works really well on my iPhone 16 Pro Max as well as my old iPhone 8 Plus!

Continues to have pairing troubles off and on (mostly on). Most days it’s a Continuous loop of instructions on how to fix the problem but when you follow the each step to step 3 it loops back to step one, (the “I UNDERSTAND” page) and won’t even attempt to pair. Even deleting the App and reinstalling it won’t work. Another day it might right away (rare). Really frustrating! Bring back the previous App!

I’ve had to contact customer service 2 times and both times I received prompt assistance that resolved my issues.
