We should get a recycle bin like Samsung Galaxy S22’s bin, let me explain how it works. So once you delete something. It will go to recycle bin, you go to menu then go to recycle bin, press the button called select then select all to be deleted forever but there is also a thing that once you put the images in the recycle it will be in there for 30 days then there will be deleted forever. So can we please fix it? -@lelibeeflower13.

So photos have been a helpful storing place for all my memories ever since I was born. Of course some people have problems with it, but that’s okay. This is probably one of the best apps on my phone because it holds up all my memories so whenever I need them they’re right there 😁

As of the major iOS 18 updates the photos app for me is useless. As a retired professional creative I have used Apple for years and it’s never let me down - until now! The new layout just does not work, it is totally un-productive like getting rid of just basic “Recents” in albums. No easy workaround. Images are now put in date order no matter where they have come from making some then difficult to find. The edit interface worked perfectly and now is a complete mess. Wasted screen space, especially Video plus the edit feature for video no longer works for some video like my telescope images for example will not edit saying the full size images are not available even though they were created within the iPad Pro. Oh and the pathetic slide show in albums that cannot be turned off. All in all a very bad “downgrade” in my professional opinion. Thanks Apple - not. Update at 18.4.1 and it’s still pathetically BAD!! Also to add - anyone with any vague idea of video editing does “not” design an interface with a white background! I cannot use it now. Apple really does need intelligent, logical and experienced software designers who have hands on knowledge of what they are creating apps for.

What has happened to photos since the last update !!! Everyday they use to change like google photos but since the update nothing !!! Please sort the photo app out !!!

Please can you introduce a feature to allow users reshuffle our different photo albums so we can organise the logic they appear based on our preferences. It will really help content creator users

Ok so, this is good I can store all my memories but sometimes when I run out of storage the only thing I can do is delete my photos but they come back when I delete them. I BEG, please fix this my phone isn’t functioning because of this app.

The only advice to fix is plug it in overnight, it is plugged in every night, the software is up to date, the indexing just doesn’t work. (As if it gave up running)

I don't know about the latest version on ios18 It's unbelievable to me that upto my version every single photo or screenshot for the last few years I've had the phone still show as recent! And if you create an album and put photos in it and go back to recent you have no idea which have been sorted and are in an album. Surely you thought of just putting a small icon in the corner to show its in an album. Please consider adding it but by the sounds of things I don't want the ios18 version until you can revert it to the original view. But seriously ios17 and still not able to know which photos are in albums. And how to view only photos that you've taken??? I can't see a way! It's ridiculous. Photos not screenshots, I just want to see my photos but there is no filter to! Unbelievable. They haven't used their brains on this one. Terrible app.
