Totally non responsive customer service. Refuses to help trouble shoot problems. Constant notifications and false positives. Constantly turning off the water. The system doesn’t learn from feedback to false positives. It appears that the machine learning or AI that is being used does not learn or categorize usage.

Loading video is a nuisance. Just open the app faster please.

Requires knowing everything about you up to and including precise location just to set it up. I literally couldn’t set it up until i re-installed app with every single permission allowed.

I have three of the Phyn Plus gen 1 monitors in operation for several years. Except that one of the units does not indicate the correct water pressure, all of the units have been excellent. This is aggravating, but I was told by Phyn not to worry about the pressure reading, that the unit would still work properly. That appears to be the case. I really like the fact that it can even detect pin hole leaks. I have found instances of unknown toilet leaks and dripping faucets. It has an away mode, which is great. I would like to find a suitable power backup, to make sure it would still function correctly during power outages. This is imported to me since I have occasional power outages and live an area where hurricanes can take the power down for days. All in all I think everyone should have one.

Two years ago, my house had a pipe ruptured at spigot due to freezing. Instead of just repairing, I looked into ways of preventing water damage by automatically shutting off water. I found Phyn Plus Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff Valve a suitable solution. I liked Phyn as it works on ultrasonic principles rather than a turbine to measure water flow. Without any moving parts Phyn should last longer unlike other models that need replacement after few years due to calcium/salt deposits that affect the rotation of the turbine. 0With the help of a plumber, I could easily install Phyn on the house waterline and connected it to WiFi with the Phyn App. Now, I can monitor water usage, get alerts based on water usage, drop in pressure or temperature. The Phyn valve can shutoff water on impending freeze as it monitors water temperature. I am happy with Phyn Plus system.

After suffering a pipe leak in our ceiling while we were out of town and dealing with the reconstruction aftermath, we heard about and decided to install a Phyn. The peace of mind it provides is almost indescribable and well worth the purchase price and cost of installation, both of which were nominal. It is so easy to use, both mechanically and with its software. Highly recommend.

Phyn has saved us once when our water heater failed. I was working and my wife was pregnant and sleeping. I could not get a hold of her so I let Phyn shut the water off to the house. It’s saved us a giant mess by only letting 2 gallons leak. I will never not use a Phyn system again.

This app is garbage! The app either freezes on first opening or just spins after you login. Can’t even setup a new product.

Not at all user friendly! The app itself takes eons to load because of its fancy video graphics every single time it opens …. even when it has sent a message to tell me that it turned off our water. And I’m frantic to try to turn it back on! Then it tells me nearly nothing except that we use more water than the average household, which it has been telling me for over a year and which I already know. I must search around through menus to figure out where to turn my water back on! Even though the app complacently says I have no new alerts. No , we have never had a leak… but the device thinks we do. There is never an easy place for us to add in all the complex water usage components in our home… and the system sends me alerts all night saying only that there’s an alert, and then 20 minutes later saying it’s been “resolved “… but not saying that the reason it’s resolved is because it turned off the water!!! I don’t think there’s another app to control the device so we are stuck.

Have had Phyn nearly three years. It has prevented damage to our house at least 4 times. As I write this I was alerted to unusual water activity. A toilet was running. Would not have known for a few hours. Water causes tremendous damage if it goes unchecked. This product is well worth the investment.
