Pins for Pinboard

Quite a few intermittent issues lately, I’ve looked but can find no explanation for that, but the app is still working.

This easy to use, fast, well laid out app is probably the slickest design for pinboard.

It has been two years, and we still can't autocomplete tags when bookmarking through the share sheet. I used to think this was a five-star Mac app, but when I want to use Pinboard I either have to use this app and then immediately go to the website to do the tagging, or switch to iPad. Any Mac app which forces users to use web or iPad solutions preferentially is clearly not a five-star app.

Pins is an extremely powerful app for pinboard users. It adds a very useful set of features to the strong pinboard set of capabilities to produce an app that helps you explore and get the most out of your bookmarks. The reading experience is excellent creating a feed reader feeling to getting through bookmarks. Highly recommended.

For years I have been frustrated by the quality of Pinboard clients on iOS and Mac, but no more! This client is a “good citizen“ insofar as it works exactly as you might expect an app to if it paid full attention to the Apple HIG. It has delightful touches like widgets that show me selections of bookmarks from yonks ago that I’d forgotten about - makes my Pinboard be more than a write-only bucket that never refer to. If you have a Pinboard account, you should get this. Thank you @quanganhdo!

Finally a decent Pinboard app! Developer is very responsive, well worth purchasing and supporting.

Nice idea but it forgets settings every time I open the app and is buggy in other aspects. Only downloads 100 bookmarks on the paid version, so is a disappointing purchase.

I gasped with delight. Goodbye Spillo, you were wonderful but now you're broken and old. So good to have an up-to-date Pinboard.in app which works so well, with an extension, and cross platform. The only glaring ommissions right now are a reader view for articles, and auto-suggestions in the safari extension, based on your existing tags. Please keep maintaining it developer, you are great!

I am a heavy Pinboard user. Pretty much save anything interesting I come across to it. I now have tens of thousands of bookmarks. I have tried all Pinboard iOS apps, neither of them could handle so many bookmarks. Pins is the first one that actually works, can handle all my bookmarks and on top of that has a nice share sheet UI, so it makes it easy to add stuff from iOS too. Really appreciate the work that went into Pins. Thank you, Anh!

I’d been using Pinner for iOS for a long time until encountering issues after the release of iOS 14. Happy to have now found Pins, which does everything I need and is actively maintained.
