I have been using Plaud AI voice recorder for a bit, and it’s honestly pretty cool. The audio quality is solid, even in noisy spots. It pulls my recordings into text fast and mostly gets it right, even with a couple of people talking. The summaries are handy too. I don’t have to slug through long note anymore. I tried the mind my feature and it’s neat for visualising ideas, though I am still figuring out how to use it Best.
Okay, I’m late to this entire AI revolution. But, if I had known this is what I’ve been missing, I would have been on the wagon a long time ago. This little device is so powerful and saves me so much time. I actually bought two. The original and now I have the new pen. I just wish I could record directly from the web and phone.
The best gift you can give
I just got my new plod as a Christmas gift from my wife. I’m always forgetting what we talked about in a conversation on the phone and never have that information readily available. Did a test with it today it was incredible. I will use it every day and maybe I can do a new review after I’ve had some more time. So far it’s awesome.
It would be nice if you made this app compatible for the iPad.
Amazing device and technology helping me to write my books
I’ve been using this for a little over a month. Besides all of the features and things that others have said in other reviews I want to share two great benefits. My family speaks Spanish, I can turn on Plaud and put my phone down. At the end it will transcribe and give a summary of the conversation in English 🤯. You can use it in a place with a lot of background noise, church, restaurant and it picks up the needed conversation and transcribe and summarize it for you.
The devices work really well picking up the audio and transferring it to the phone for the app to upload and process is also very easy. Battery life of the devices lasts a week or so of moderate use. The automatic selection of summary template works really well. I have used it at church, in business and personal meetings, even family meal time. In every one it seems to capture the event. I also can manually choose which template if I have a strong preference. One note is be careful of who you label as which speaker. It will remember the first name you apply and use that going forward. I will have to reach out to support to get one mislabeled removed. Lastly the exports and sharing features and ability to import any audio from any source is also a major plus.
Used many times as practice before medical school and seems very very powerful! It’s ability to pick up only voices wanted in restaurants settings is pretty unreal. I look forward to using this in medical school to help me create study content.
