Probably 20-30% of players have faked their ratings in one way or another, so the games are unplayable about half the time (given 1/4 players are rated wrong). Not sure what Playtomic can do about it, but it makes the app worthless.
As the title of the review says the app is allowing for more than one booking in the same timeslot on the same court on the same day. Today two sets of four people each showed up for doubles, and we were disappointed which is not great given the amount of prep that takes for four people to coordinate and show up.
Whatever was changed in this update has broken my ability to book an open match, and the payment processing is now cumbersome and unnecessary. Previously by default: When booking a court by any option, you would commit to paying your part. This would create an open match for players to join, and only when the 4th player joined was the court confirmed as reserved and all players charged individually at that time. Now: Booking any court by either "book a court" or "start a match" (as seen on Play an open match screen) results in a Private match, that you are automatically charged both for your part (1/4 of the price of court) AND an additional pending amount for the remainder of the court (3/4 court price). This is even if I am given the option to book a court, see below. Not only have many friends on the app had issues with a refund to their card even after all players have paid... But both the Clubs and Playtomic will blame each other without resolving the issue. Customers are being double charged unfairly and this needs to be corrected. Further, if you play multiple times a week and are the organizer now you are burdened with multiple pending charges, and left chasing Playtomic or players for payments after the match. This is discouraging to use this service, and penalizes the organizer (the one doing the work). If I play 4 times a week, and my club is 60 Euros, Playtomic is holding 240 Euro weekly from me - this is ridiculous.... Lastly, I CANNOT book a court that results in a Public match - no matter what option I choose to start a match I will always get a Private match now. And this is even if it works, if I clear all my filters, select multiple clubs over a 7 day period at any time, to try and book - all my clubs are shown as Unavailable in the "Start a match" option. My latest attempt created a private match, that started with 1 person (myself) on the reservation - how does that make sense? Playtomics previous behavior would have auto canceled this match due to not enough players. These changes were made with no announcement to the users and genuinely leaves a bad impression. The app is up to date. I've tried resetting location access. Signing out and back in. Restarting device.

The latest update has removed upcoming game tabs from the home page. This was a useful feature, which is now buried in a difficult menu process.
I just lost 1 hour of my life to book a tennis field. First, you need to go to the camp website, then they force you to create an account on Playtomic, then you are forced to download the app, the literally trick you to start a free trial of the premium version (it takes a while to understand you can proceed without it), and then everything related to cancellation policies is totally non understandable. Under the same booking, one line says the cancellation applies only for 60 minutes after the booking, the other line it applies till 24 hours before the slot you booked. All this, for 5% of Playtomic fees on the booking price. Are we serious?????
