Best example of how to start off with a great app and then update it so that you make a mess of the interface and then load it with bugs. Clicking the arrow once on the date take you back by a year. On some days you get no training option, only quality of life and it’s not yet rest day. Used to have a great interface now it’s lousy.
I don’t want to detract from the Breather device itself. That is great and really has helped my asthma etc. The app is almost useless as it crashes after a couple of days, both on my oppo phone and ipad, even after the latest update. I use an app called Interval Timer which does the job.
An App in name only. Login fails with correct credentials. Reset password fails.
Crashed constantly and has now decided I don’t have an account even though I have been using it for 5 weeks, even after reinstalling it I still could not log in, recover my password or re register. App deleted and breather pro sent back
A year on from other reviews and in spite of updates same issues remain and app is unstable. For some reason the app, which does little, records less and doesn’t use phone functionality, has a hissy fit if you switch on low power mode on phone. Today I lost all history/plan mid cycle and now it doesn’t remember my login and I only recently refreshed the app from App Store!
This app will help you time your breaths (inhale/exhale). That’s it. Don’t expect them to analyze your response to breathing and suggest changes to the resistance levels. Don’t expect to be able to go back and edit your “quality of life” scores when the app doesn’t capture your input correctly. Don’t expect to change the day of the week you want off once you start. Lower your expectations about what an app should be able to do and you’ll be fine.
I think this app is basically great! It does what is supply to do, mostly. My request is that the app be not so rigid in its treatment planning. I sometimes forget or miss a session, or a day, if my life gets hurried. Maybe you are better than I at keeping to a perfectly regimented schedule. 1. In these cases if you want to restart your schedule but it is your day off on the schedule you can’t restart where you were. And Sunday is your day off so you can’t practice Sundays. You can use another breathing app and this has helped me when I was locked out of training. 2. If you miss a day or two the app has no way for you to start back where you were. You have to totally change your training program (with the “change training program button” then do it again and pick your original program. Then you can only restart at the beginning. Now I realize that this program is trying to have you be disciplined like a clock which I can often do. But if you slip the program goes on without you and offers no flexibility. I like the breather and the program. Developers haven’t included flexibility in this version.
The app is incredibly buggy. It often does not register my sessions, and sends me notifications at midnight that I’m not completing them. It’s impossible to maintain any sort of streak for that reason. If the notion behind the app is that it gives guidance/motivation, it’s not great for that. And right now it’s not working at all, telling me I am not connected to WiFi, which is incorrect. This has also happened before.
I’ve been using this app for 5 months. Sometimes quite slow to load and there are feature improvements to be made to both the app and the coaching videos but, it but was functioning at a basic level. Today however, it froze. Rebooted my iPhone, still it froze, deleted app from phone and reinstalled app from Apple Store. Says, it has no internet connection?¿ the phone definitely has WiFi and no problem with connecting to the internet. E.g. What do you do when too sick to train?
