Podcast Player RSSRadio

Seemed like a good alternative to Overcast, but it's no good for me, when I can't see all podcasts in one list sorted by date, like a news feed. In Overcast it's the "All episodes" smart playlist. I can't even find a way to make a smart playlist, one that automatically adds new episodes of specified podcasts. Now that I try, I can't even figure out how to create normal playlists, there's no button for that neither in the playlist tab or under content menus for episodes and podcasts. I'm not normally bad at navigating UI's. This is weird. There seem to be many good features that Overcast doesn't have, but what I described here makes it all more or less useless. Sorry. What's worse is that RSS Radio made my iPhone 5s crazy slow and laggy and it continued in other apps and home screen. It happens just as I opened it the first time. After some time it got normal again, so maybe it's just a first timer.

This app gives you control over every last detail of your listening experience. Download all, sort by, user categories, playlists, keep however many you want etc etc. For all that, the user interface is intuitive, if basic.

Much superior than the Apple podcast app.

Great app, does what i need it to. no frills. if you’re having an issue with playback speed, turn off ‘silence skip.’ Developer notes this setting will cause the playback speed to bounce around 1.1-1.5. once i fixed this, app is perfect.

I used this awesome app for years but no Watch app means it’s time to move on. I would come back in a heartbeat if you ever add one.

RSS radio just works. It’s had a great layout for easy organization of your podcast. It has all the features you want

Excellent control over prioritization, skipping intros and outros and auto-queueing new podcasts. I don’t do anything other than the occasional minor adjustment to my playlist. Downloads are managed and then deleted from my device. The only improvement I would love to see is the incorporation of podcasting 2.0 features like chapter art and faster availability after publishing. Great app that I use over all others and have for years!

I’ve used this app for over a decade. I’ve tried competing apps which have more bells and whistles but they always manage to have a worse user experience, at least the way I listen to podcasts. RSS Radio has a simple interface, but allows for easy management of play queue.

You can import your favorite Odysee channels too!
