Pokémon Sleep

If you use multitasking while the app is open it will lose track of your progress and preemptively send you to the results screen. While I may be trying to track my sleep schedule, having this app reset while browsing other apps while trying to do so is a hindrance. (Edit: closing the app by mistake loses all sleep tracking progress 👎)

I’ve played Pokémon go and other Pokémon games for 8plus years. This game is soooooo boring I couldn’t bear it. Save your time

As the title suggests, if for whatever reason the app chooses to restart or crash at any point, you are forced to continue with whatever was logged prior to the restart if enough time has actually passed. This means you can be pretty much screwed out of a day's full amount of sleep if it logged something that is just over the 90 minute minimum. That kind of thing doesn't exactly give me a desire to continue using the app after almost a full year of using it, especially when I'm forced to set the white point reducer all the way up just so my phone doesn't nuke itself throughout the day.

It’s easy to get into and does a great job at what it sets out to do, which is track your sleep and let you catch pokemon. My MAJOR gripe is the interface is incredibly slow. Not performance slow but simple interactions take minutes to perform. Something as simple as going to sleep or reviewing your sleep data can take 2 or 3 minutes which is absolutely insane for an app that is predicated on getting to you to go to bed. Every action requires you to wait a few seconds before a menu opens or another screen to direct you to another menu or screen to accomplish what you’re actually trying to do. Its just flat out poor UI design which I believe is due to the developers trying to turn a simple app into a full fledged “game” which it is not.

So I made a previous review of 4 stars. This was because the game was enjoyable, worked mostly okay, and only had a few bugs. One of those being when I opened the main menu, it ALWAYS crashed. Then the game would have to restart. And only then could I go into the main menu. This happened once every day. But they just fixed it recently. So. Thanks I guess. 5 Stars.

I am having a hard time wanting to continue to use the app. It has becoming almost impossible it seems to get new Pokémon and not easy to advance. I have been stuck with 20 new Pokémon for almost two weeks now…. Because I haven’t had much advancement I’ve been tending to forget it exists. Why play when their are no rewards or impossible to achieve rewards….

I'm disappointed in this app. I really tried to give it a go for almost a year. The amount of animations is surreal, lag to get between screens, and the most recent updates that stop tracking if you move the phone are terrible. At times I'd fall asleep in the couch while my partner is watching something, then we'd love to the room. This morning I found out the session only tracked the first hour and on top of that I cannot add the sleep time because it overlaps with the unrecorded time of the session... I'm out...

I didn’t think I needed a sleep tracker until I tracked it once, and I found out I needed it. After tracking for a week, it was amazing! First, you track your sleep and get a reward for it! Catching Pokémon, which designs are amazing! I was shook by the graphics, how is this a mobile app? Honestly I recommend this app so much. Now about that fire hazard…. Okay, now how much fires have you seen made by a mattress? Hundreds? Maybe fifty? Anyways it’s highly unlikely and only has a slight chance of happening in older models of Mobile appliances. And about the “not connecting with watch” OKAY DUDE. YOU HAVEN’T EVEN SEEN THE GAME, PROBABLY YOU SEARCHED IT UP AND DOWNLOADED IT JUST TO MAKE A BAD REVIEW. Honestly, install this sleep tracker right now!!

The app constantly stops recording and starts random times, so you never really know when you fell asleep or when you woke up because it just gives you random times

It’s torturing to watch the slow UI animations every time Snorlax levelling up, opening another page, or just to wait for the Pokémons finish their poses after they picked the berries.
