PredictWind Offshore Weather

PredictWind keeps making promises but they cause more problems than they can fix. Even their support bot is broken so I couldn’t get past entering my email address. The warning messages are completely covered up by the date on iPhone so the app is useless. Just like everything else they have done, broken by design and unlikely to be fixed anytime soon.

Super expensive, won’t update any maps with a basic subscription

Rated by mistake but I can’t remove it. So since I am forced to write a review, here is my one star for being so insanely expensive.

Old app offered land surfaces in full color topographic format. A great resource for off grid land explorers. Newer downgraded version shows all land surfaces in blue color, making it impossible to easily locate terrain features. Obviously, PredictWind no longer cares about serving land exploration users. Too bad.

So far, so good.

В последнем обновлении что то случилось и теперь невозможно увеличить карту и установить свои координаты. Пожалуйста проверьте информацию.

Great app in combination with an IridiumGo on iPhone and iPad. For some reason doesn’t work on my iPod Touch. I have reported this to Iridium but it's been months now. Should be an easy bug to fix, no reason for it not to work on the iPod Touch.

Good app and great support

I use predictwind/offshore application by more than one year. Actually, I have passed 7 seas and I am on the way to cross the Atlantic Ocean. In more than 95%the forecasts have been accurate and the mathematical model used let you a plenty of options to choose a departure schedule or to make a passage.

An excellent weather departure and passage planning application. I used it extensively on my transatlantic and will continue to do so in the future.
