Prepaid TWINT & andere Banken

This is the app you must have to pay Swiss tourist tax. That’s the tax foreigners pay to stay in Switzerland. However, you need to be Swiss to actually use it… You need a Swiss bank account and a Swiss mobile number. Classic.

I have a Swiss bankaccount and still I can’t use the Twint app. Result: I can’t pay webshops, I can’t pay for tickets for museums and I can’t pay for parking. I allways thought Switzerland is a modern country, but the paymentsystem appears to be very oldfashioned.. Please solve this as soon as possible.

Prepaid app not working with foreign (dutch) phone Normal app not working with foreign country bank aacount. As a regular visitor I have more and more problems with parking or charging my car in switserland becaus the only option is twint at some places.

Bad that you cannot pay with all foreign banks. It is a shame that this problem still exist in 2024, especially if it is the only payment option you have. Yes I will receive the same answer anyone gets, it is not twints responsibility blabla. Maybe true, but it also reflects the image and name of your company, something to think about 🤔

It is not possible tonregisyer with a dutch +31 phone number, which means you cannot use this app for payments while beiing on holiday in der Schweiz.. As most locals only use Twint (and do not offer e.g. paypal/Ideal or any other option) uou are not able to pay

App does not support Dutch phone numbers or Dutch banks. Very annoying as it is often the only digital payment method in Swiss establishments.

Why is the app not working with a +31 country code? There are many Dutch people with a Dutch phone number in Switzerland and we would also like to use TWINT. Please solve this problem & we will be very thankful!! Kind regards

Leider nicht mit +31 Country Code zu brauchen. Wohl ein BEKB Rechnung aber keine Schweizer Handy. Wann wird es möglich mit +31 Twint zu actieveren.
