“Proton has now made it stupid-easy to encrypt your schedule. Information about what you plan to do, where, and with whom, can be just as sensitive as the messages you send and receive.” Gizmodo

No iPad App

Every other Proton app works fine on iPad but the calendar app only works as an iPhone app, I’ll update my review once they release an iPad version of this app. For now it’s sort of unusable.

Not bad

Not a bad addition to the proton suite. Dark mode still doesn’t work on the icon for iOS 18 despite the recent patch notes stating it does. All of the other proton apps have it though. Most likely an oversight.

iOS Calender Needs Search Function

Hopeful House Planner on

I love Proton products but unfortunately will not change calenders until there is a search function for the iphone app. I takes too long to find past and future events without it. Keep up the good work!

Wow, I had I high expectations. So disappointing.

This app cant do anything. How does one subscribe to other calendars? I clicked subscriptions but its just proton trying to sell me things. There are like no menus to do anything. What is this app for exactly?

I installed this to extend my desktop version of the Proton calendar and unfortunately it deleted all of my historic calendar data. Proton support were completely unhelpful and there was no warning this can occur. If you don't have an existing Proton account or don't mind data loss, this is fine.

Good layout - needs option for multiple notifications

I like the Agenda that combines all calendars and the colour coding. This lets me keep business and personal separate; but with a quick easy way to spot conflicts and do planning and bookings. I really wish they will expand the notification function to allow you to set multiple notifications for a calendar activity. Sometimes I need to be able to get a notification 1 week out (to do prep) AND one 10-minutes before. At the moment, I have to wait for the first notification then go in and reset to the next notification. This is a waste of my valuable time in an app that’s supposed to support efficiency of my time. I really wish when setting repeat events that there was an option to enter how to end repeats (either after x-repeats, or on a date). Much usefulness lost if you can’t do this (and currently you can’t). Otherwise a good calendar. Would also like an option to import a calendar, especially when I first install, so there’s an efficient and easy way to move over to Proton. Right now there’s nothing. You start from scratch and have to either manually input every thing from your other calendar or just walk away from it. This is not at all realistic or useful. No one installs a calendar and doesn’t have years of events they’ve already meticulously entered somewhere else that needs to come over into proton… your life hasn’t not existed before downloading Proton Calendar…

Would like to see the calendar app in full screen for iPad. Also day, week, month and year, just so handy to be able to see a full year.

Calendar. Calendar.

I have Calendar on my phone which works great on the iPhone but can I download it for my iPad in order to have a fullscreen view of Proton calendar on the iPad ? Regards Bryce.

Excellent inclusion in Proton Unlimited bundle

I absolutely love that Proton has added this app to the Proton Unlimited bundle. It has finally meant that I can ditch Google Calendar for good and go with Proton for all my calendar appointments. Sure, the app isn’t fully developed but I trust that you’re working diligently to improve it. Thank you Proton for giving us to option to live our lives without having every scrap of our personal information sold to the highest bidder by multibillion dollar multinational oligopolies.
