What others say about Proton:
“Proton has now made it stupid-easy to encrypt your schedule. Information about what you plan to do, where, and with whom, can be just as sensitive as the messages you send and receive.” Gizmodo

Good

Trêe on

I like the proton services, they do exactly what they should but are fairly bare bones at the moment. I am aware that these apps are still new, but one simple feature I would like added is a dark mode which you can turn on from within the app.

Some way to go

GotWunInTheNads on

I’m a long time supporter of proton and the privacy they prioritise. Good to have a calendar app, but it has a long way to go before it’s as pretty or as functional as my favourite Fantastical. There’s a maximum of 5 subscribed calendars; custom views don’t exist - you can have ‘agenda’ or ‘day’ which barely differ, and that’s it. Hi res phone screens allow much more nowadays so it would be good to see proton offering full month and week views with details rather than little colour blobs.

No iPad App

RugbyFan05 on

For some reason, Proton Developers do not think people would use a calendar app on their iPad. With that line of thinking, why did they even bother making the ProtonMail or ProtonDrive apps for the iPad.

Needs more option

San.is.flying on

I enjoy the privacy Proton offers so a constructive review. The app feels it's lacking settings to configure how you'd like to personalise the calendar/screen. For example changing colours for items you add to your calender, enabling the calender to utilise the entire screen not just half & changing the start day of the week are just a few I can think off the top of my head. I want to fully transition away from google calender but can't at the moment as some features are still lacking.

Hoping for a full view

AngrieZoomer on

Love proton suite, the only thing I’m waiting for is a full view calendar where you are able to see events without clicking individual days. Hoping this feature comes to iOS soon 🙏

I love this app, but..

I love this app but I wish and hope the team makes an iPad version as well. Otherwise great good.

Why bother?

Karluah on

Waste of money. Can’t see that it does anything that the Apple Calendar doesn’t already do.

Cal cal

kokolopa on

Very good, it works well. Any chance of using TouchID to open the cal or hide content from view?

Not compatible with iPad

dukeofearl.p on

I was looking forward to this but unfortunately its not compatible with iPad or landscape mode. Hopefully this will be introduced soon so I can use it across all my devices.
