Real Flame Fire MKII

Have tried numerous times to connect my fireplace using this app, following the instructions provided in the user manual and whilst I can connect to the heater access point, the app then fails to find any heater. Realflame may as well scrap the wifi functionality in their heater as all that can be done is control via the usual RF remote.

Unreliable app, should integrate into a smart home ecosystem

This app is almost dangerous to use because it doesn’t simply and clearly indicate the current state of the fireplace. Configuration was quite complex and the details not made visible in the settings. I’m not convinced it is secure. Operations cannot be scheduled or automated at all (eg turn on if temp falls below X degrees), nor does the system appear to integrate with any home automation (eg HomeKit).

Love the fireplace, but they should just get rid of the app all together until it’s a decent usable app. Wifi setup is straight forward but fireplace acts up when using the app to control. The idea is great, would love to turn it on from bed via the app as soon as you wake up. But not working unfortunately.

A complete amateur must have developed the App. It doesn’t work and the instructions are useless!

Had to have 3rd new remote and new receiver that’s all ok but wifi does not work and the service person had no idea about it!! I have spent hours trying to connect its useless!! Would not have purchased Realflame if I had known this issue. Also took about 7 weeks to get a warranty call. Very bad service.

The fireplace comes on and off on its own. The app doesn’t control fan speed, on or off. NOTHING!!!
