this game really got me, but the amount of bugs make it very frustrating to play! (not only there are problems with freezing ai, but also, there are mistakes defying rules of chess - i.e i took the oponents king, but the game continued until i eliminated all of his stones)
Its fun but the computer is stupid. Sometimes goes in cycles
AAAARGH I got only one nerves! Deleted! :D
Too many ads!! If I wanted to see this many ads, I would’ve gone to Times Square on New Years Eve
It’s pretty normal in mobile games to just beat you over the head with ads constant, but you get them every time a game ends. You can pay to get rid of the ads, but I’d rather uninstall it and not think about this rather cool, random and pretty fun little game.
This is one of the best pieces of training material I’ve consumed, surprisingly. Within three days, playing this alongside regular boring chess boosted my ELO from around 850 to 1050. If you’re at a beginner/intermediate level, this game actually creates a lot of teachable moments. At higher levels, you have to approach this game with the goal of making something out of nothing. I believe this is something that is easily translatable to regular chess, and ever since playing a bit of ranked RBC at the 60-80 level I’ve noticed major improvements to my chess performance. I went into this assuming it would be a fun mindless arcade game that I’d play when bored, but it has surprisingly become invaluable to my chess performance. Not a huge fan of the paywalls, but the devs gotta eat somehow. This game is up on Apple Arcade if you don’t want paywalls, which has a 3mo trial for new users, so if you can, give it a try. This game is seriously great if you enjoy chess and want to sharpen your skills.
This app is a great way to play chess and relax while using different combinations of pieces on both sides of the board. Is there a way to use it on a Kindle tablet?
Putting ads when you lose is like pissing on a guy with broken arms. No thanks
Enjoying the game however the fun of beating a level is disrupted by the screen going dark. I wish you had more time to revel in the victory and review the final stage of the board. What’s the point of getting a checkmate if you literally don’t even get to look at it?!?!? When you get a checkmate, you should be alerted you win but you can still look at the board and revel in your victory until you decide to finish.
