Terrible customer service and incompetent people working ontheir team. Their platform signs you up for a STRIPE account and they claim to have an “underwriting” department. However, if you have an existing STRIPE account they’ll cut you off and refuse to communicate instead of simply offering customer service and connecting your existing stripe account. This is incompetence at its finest. How do you run a tech startup and cannot figure out how to connect a STRIPE account to your users accounts and why would doing such be a “high risk?” They make absolutely no sense and have ZERO problem solving skills. It’s like a bunch of toddlers are running this app. If someone would just get on the phone to communicate like a regular functioning adult, things could be resolved. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND SIGN UP FOR INNAGO INSTEAD OF RENT REDI.
Expensive, Useless, Disappointing - I wish I could give 0 stars.
Best advice don’t give these people your real email address and don’t use this unless you have enough cash to never be worried about when your money will arrive in your account.
Half the time there’s a survey that automatically opens when you open the app and you can’t close it or do anything.
I don’t know if any actual real people work for RentRedi, your inbox will be flooded with bots highlighting new features or reporting downtime on features that are (broken multiple times a week).
The only good thing to say about the entire platform is that payments always eventually come through with relatively small fees.
Mobile app and payment issues
Mobile app for owners leaves much to be desired. And I have put in multiple request in to update my password and have yet to receive an email link despite all my information being correct.
Also, I have a subscription through the bigger pockets website yet I consistently get double charged from Rentredi for a service I’m already paying for. When I ask their customer service team they seem lost as to how to rectify the issue or reimburse me.
And then there is the payment issue from stripe where I have still not received money from my long term tenants in my account. This is after money is shown as being withdrawn from their accounts from RentRedi.
Most of these issues have happened over the last 3-4 months so I’m not sure if there are internal issues because before that service was fine. While the mobile app was still laggy and not the greatest I was hopeful it would improve. However, these recent issues have me doubting if this is the correct company to use for my rental properties going forward.
Stole my tenant’s money!!
This crooked company stole $7000 from my tenant and demanded that I submit to outrageous requirements for him to get it back
7+ days (1/4 of the month) to Receive funds
If you’re a landlord, you’re going to hate this software, especially if you’re doing renovations and need funding.
It takes 7+ days from the day your tenant pays rent, to the day it finally hits your account. 1/4 of the month they hold your money.
If the tenant spends the money in their account that was allocated towards rent, RentRedi will send you an “insufficient funds notice” because the tenant didn’t hold the money in they account for a quarter of the month.
This is happening to me every month. I suggest trying a different software.
Best rental software
I don’t know why I didn’t use RentRedi earlier. The customer support on chat is simply amazing. I’m not computer literate and they made it soooo easy. Best ever.
Used this with zero experience as a renter
There definitely will be some learning to do as you start using, however the customer care is amazingly good and super fast in responding.
I wish the integration to Zillow was included in the regular pricing with more seamless integration.
Rent Redi
Not quite as intuitive as I would like..However, thru chat and over the phone I have been able to get all my questions answered
So far so good.
I have been using RentRedi for a couple months and a couple properties. Everything has been very easy to use and when I have had questions about how to use the tools the customer service team has been very prompt to help me figure it all out. It’s an excellent service for a small landlord.
App will not work with Google account
I initially made our account online using our Google account. Well, there’s an issue with the app and you can’t use your Google account to sign in. We’ve had our account for 5 months and the issue hasn’t been fixed. When I reached out to the support desk, they told me how to reset my password so I could use email and password to login. I feel like debugging the app should be the priority instead of giving me a work around. At a minimum, remove the option to create an account with Google if it’s not supported by the app.
