This app organizes the vast and varied library of Rick Steves’ audio content into geographic-specific playlists so that travelers can enjoy ready access to the information that relates specifically to their travel plans. Many tracks provide general cultural and sightseeing information gleaned from his public radio program, Travel with Rick Steves. Other tracks are self-guided tours to great sights and historic walks. While we travel there’s lots of down time, and this application can both entertain and teach. Rick Steves Audio Europe will hopefully make your European travels more meaningful and more fun.
Features:
• The app downloads and stores audio files on your device. No Wi-Fi or cellphone connection is required to listen. (You will need a connection if you choose to add audio tracks later.)
• Handy maps (PDF) that complement the self-guided audio tours can be viewed on your device.
• The audio content originates from Rick Steves guidebooks and the Travel with Rick Steves public radio program. Self-guided tours are excerpted from Rick Steves country and city guidebooks.
• Rick Steves Audio Europe is a work in progress. New audio tracks will be added and existing tracks updated as necessary. Be sure to enable Notifications for this app to get the latest updates.

The best audio guide
My family and I used and enjoyed this audio guide app on our trip to Italy and France this year. After using many different apps and audio guides, I have to admit this audio guide is the best of the best. Thank you so much Rick for your amazing work and for giving it for free to all needed. We found sometimes that we preferred to use Rick’s audio tracks instead of ones we actually paid for, for example in the D’Orsay museum. Risk’s guide was much better structured and interactive compared to museum’s one.

I stumbled across this part was through my holiday in Europe and used it for the rest of the way because I found it better than some of the audio guides at the attractions themselves, and better than some of the local walking tours. I still remember the one for the forum in Rome and the canal in Venice!
My only regret was not finding it sooner!
The best app ever
I recommend this to everyone I know who is travelling. The guides around Italy were amazing. They really mad the city come alive. Even when I paid for guided tours I still listened to Rick because I felt his guide was so much better!

Current app drains battery
Absolutely love this app for travelling in Europe. Unfortunately the latest app seems to drain your battery in background tasks.

Amazing!
We used the audio guides in Berlin. Munich. Prague. Rome. Vatican and London and they were amazing and far better than any tour guides we had. Thanks Rick and Lisa.

Can’t believe it’s free
Such a handy thing to have and can save you quit a bit of money if you’re doing multiple stops. We used it mostly in Rome and it was excellent.
