RiverTV : Live TV Streaming

The streaming options are few and the on demand is a literal pile of streaming hallmark exodus. The price is very high especially when considering the competition. There are free options that offer far higher value.

This app had a lot of potential, especially with the “The Jackal”. I watched the first few episodes and the commercials were there, but Short. Just right in my opinion. The latest episode was so painful to watch, I stopped. The commercials never end. Either charge a subscription service with no commercials or don’t charge a subscription and have commercials.

I was looking for an alternative to watching TV and River TV came up as an option. I searched to see what channels they offered and it was exactly what I watch so I decided to give it a try. I really like the service and my wife has decided to keep it.

I cancelled my subscription two years ago and they keep charging me every month. I login and it says subscription cancelled July 2022. My credit card company won’t stop the payment. What a scam!

River tv offers a decent amount of channels and shows if you're looking to cut cable completely and want to watch some cable tv channels still. Global and food network, history and adult swim. It's got enough if you're not a huge tv watcher. Lots of great kids shows too, treehouse, family jr. its a pretty great offering. Pair it with one other site, like Netflix or Disney and you're set.

The app is ok and pretty stable however needs the ability to be linked to AppleTV side menu like Amazon Prime, Paramount etc.

Paying 30$ a month and it freezes ever 5 minutes! Not impressed

This PAID subscription service is showing 8, 9 even 10 commercials during the breaks on the Colbert show. And throwing up ads on the lower third all the time as well. Not impressed.

For a streaming site, one would expect limited commercials, like Disney or Paramount. Even PlutoTV has less commercials than RiverTV. $16.99 is a lot of money for essentially regular television rolled in a single application. As for support, there is none. I have a subscription for my iPhone and iPad, yet I am unable to view RiverTV on my browser (MacBook Pro) and there’s no one to contact to get this resolved. I am unimpressed.

I like the fact that you enable us to start from the beginning of a show so that if we’ve missed some of it, we don’t have to worry about it because we can go back to the beginning. I also like the fact that you’ve got some of the channels that we can’t get anywhere else which allow us to watch older TV shows and movies I do, however wish that I could actually have described video content. A lot of the shows on TV can be very visual and it would really help to be able to have described video which is available on other TV platforms. Will it be possible to have this in the future?
