Why the US Defaultism?

While the flashcard UI UX design and making reading news as daily challenges are certainly good ways to keep me updated with the latest news, the app is full of US defaultism. I don’t live in the US and I don’t care about the US as much as the app wants me to. Just mention that the app is focused towards readers from the US in the description. The app just isn’t for me, thank you anyways!

Been following RocaNews since the first week and always been happy to be part of the journey, I’ve seen you guys grow from a few hundred insta followers to now having an app. I’m so proud of you all and the media outlet you build!

Feels like a mobile game

There are unnecessary UI elements like earning XP for reading articles, having an account level, needing to hold a button to close a menu etc. This is all rather disappointing because I expected a simple news app with the layout of their Instagram posts. At this point i do not recommend this app, maybe when the devs make an actual newsapp and not another mobile game.

Been with this app since the beginning. Sadly as they grow they leave behind those that brought them to the dance. The news is presented fairly and mostly unbiased. However the “entertainment categories and ratings levels are pay as you go. If you enjoy competing then you have to join premium Roca. You can play for free and max out your score .. but you’re handicapped from advancing and even demoted unless you pay the premium. In fairness, you can still play for free.. for now.. but we know what’s coming. Success means two tiers now exist. Sad In addition the app is almost unusable if you have an Apple device. Too many glitches
