Root Board Game

Game looks and plays well. Easy to play on an iPhone. I love most that I can practice different factions on the app. I purchased all of the dlc as well. Has a fun tutorial mode for each character and then some fun challenges. Looking forward to enjoying the app more.

There’s no sound when im playing it

I’ve been playing ROOT for years and this digital adaptation is spot on with both rules, gameplay and excitement. Soundtrack is one of my favourites too. The AI isn’t the best but Clockwork Opponents are a real challenge and the Pass and Play is great for when my girlfriend and I when we travel. 10/10 thanks for this Dire Wolf!

With the latest update, music and podcasts stop when in the app. It makes playing the game a lot less enjoyable and is such a simple change with a huge impact. Would be 5 star without this restriction.

The game is a good implementation of a perfect tabletop game. However, the developer- direwolf seriously has to improve their ai programming skill. Ai is really bad

Id like to start off by saying I love Root and am glad to see the expansion here, love the hard work and addition. But at the current state of multiplayer, the UI and lobby mechanics are heavily behind. Id suggest downloading a copy of “Through the Ages” on the app store. Some quick to list additions that would greatly improve quality of life: - Turn Timers, reserve time, adjustable when creating a game, - lobby titles, for example (new players only) Or (experienced fast play only) - In lobby chatting - The ability to change apps on the phone without the game disconnecting These are just a few that instantly came to thought when creating a lobby. Please take this into consideration as this would help a lot of new comers.

A 1GB board game. Seriously??

I have been playing this nonstop for six months. Online game is a great mix of strategy, diplomacy and luck - not always in that order. Can’t wait for the underground expansion!
