Awful

The service is okay, not great but also not too expensive. The iOS app and the website app though are truly horrific. I’ve seen 14-year old coders build a more coherent and functional platform. Like other commenters have said, I’ve complained for years about the technology but Ruby, for all their endless “happy talk”, doesn’t care and have never addressed the problems plaguing their platform. I’m looking for a new service where I can actually log in to see and manage my messages. I recommend you do as well.

Unacceptable

Unacceptable sums this service up accurately. From duplicated charges for the same call, to consistent errors. From one business owner to another do yourself a favor and avoid this service.

Exceptional

Ruby is amazing. They have made my life easy by taking over my incoming calls. They are professional, consistent and follow the instructions to a Tee. Well worth the money. The app has a few bugs here and there but doesn’t take away from the top tier service they provide.

“Changes to texting” does not equate to improvements (version 1.2.2)

JLomby on

This app continues to be far worse than version 1.0. Devs, please fix what broke in 1.2.2. When we send an outgoing text, we choose (through a scroll wheel ) our toll free number or our local number. Our toll free number is gone now so it looks like we’re texting from a random local number. Please fix it!

Ruined My Business

It's Not A Real App on

Summer is a very slow month for my business, so it’s very important that I convert as many leads as possible during that month. Ruby abruptly switched to a new app on a random Monday morning with no prior notice. I was down for almost a month. My business was rendered without access to its phone number for that time. I’m really struggling to get by at this point, and it’s all the fault of this app.

Password reset broken, ruby 1.0 still works

After attempting to move from ruby to ruby 2.0, my password was lost, but trying to reset the password is completely broken. You need two devices, whether it’s two phones or a phone and desktop. If you try to reset from one device, switching to your email app and then back to ruby, it goes back to the login screen and you have to ask for another reset code. Why does this app even exist if the previous version still works?

Awful

I don’t know what happen with Ruby I’ve been a customer for over five years. Ever since they switch to Ruby 2.0 things have been horrible for me. I pay them a lot of money every month and still get crappy service. I’ve called them over seven times to report problems with their app and their technical service. I have not received any phone calls back. It’s too bad they used to be a great company. I am at my wits end with their service and their app. If you’re looking for a receptionist company, look somewhere else.

We use Ruby to manage our calls for two businesses. Items been a delightful experience and they are always willing to work with us to figure out any plan modifications to fit our budget.

Wildly frustrating.

I can’t truly articulate how terrible y experience with Ruby has been. Honestly, the worst experience I’ve had with an vendor, ever. We tried Ruby hoping to create some efficiency and it’s turned into a nightmare.
