Does not work with US phone number. What a terrible user experience for visitors to Norway.

I loved using this app in Oslo. Intuitive and functional, it is everything you need for navigating the area. When we went to Bergen we had to use Skyss, which was a significantly worse app interface and functionality.

Ruter app will not allow for creating account for USA travelers unless you got Norwegian phone number. Rick Stevens confirmed that on web as well so this app is worthless to global nomads.

I tried many times to create a profile but the app did not send me a code to my cell number.

Just tried checking alternatives to bus travel from my start location. The APP only provided bus connections (and only one line at that). It also showed only walking as an alternative. (For example if I moved the start location one city block it provided only walking times. That for a start location with: a bus line going to the destination, multiple bus lines travelling to a train station which had both trains and buses going to the same destination. They broke the travel planner

Visiting from the U.S., my phone is dual SIM with a IS number and Spanish number. Downloaded the app, tried to register under the U.S. number (changing the prefix to +1) but never got a confirming code, so could t registet. Same with Spanish number so using all as a guest. Otherwise app seems fine

Very hard to use for foreigners.
