Lousy!
“Moved some things around” is not what this abysmal mobile app needed. Newest update limits ability to see transactions to past 30 days only. How was that determined to be a good idea?! This app and online banking in general is the single biggest (and most-frequent) pain point in being a Seattle CU member. Whomever at Seattle CU has been in charge of managing development of online banking needs to be shown the door. Then start again from the ground up.
This app has always been barely adequate. It’s slow and clunky and always feels like it’s about to fly apart. The user interface has never been good, but with the most recent update they removed landscape mode from the iPad version. Why would you do that? I get it for a phone, but pretty much every iPad case and stand defaults to landscape.
I have been a Seattle Credit Union customer for a very long time and the new version of the mobile banking app is so disappointing. This is the worst version, that I’m considering switching banks.
The look is not helpful if your primary device is a phone. All of the graphics are overwhelming the screen area. The colors are too loud. The previous version was better looking. I don’t even like looking at this version on my laptop. Visually, the version is a fail. Many of the functions have been moved to their own list, so finding things is harder than before. That is not an improvement. Instead of building on what you had, this app ignores what we had learned, and forces us to find what we need all over again. Given the visual issues, that is harder than it should have been. It’s October 31, 2023. I’ve been using the new SCU app since it came out. This app looks absolutely horrible. The grey pictures of the city and Mt. Rainier are insulting. They say this City is old and dying. The mixed graphics are absolutely not helpful or intuitive. This update looks like it was thrown together by a group of arguing people who had better things to do. My credit union, which I have been with since 1968 can’t put together a decent app for my iPhone because you don’t care. This app looks slightly better on my desktop computer but you know what? No one uses a desktop for banking. We’re all using our phones for that. The network errors I’m seeing tell me the links that make this app “work” are poorly constructed. The graphic choices tell me you went super cheap on this “update.” The continuing poor visuals and broken functions say you don’t have your act together, and it’s gotten much worse. I no longer trust Seattle Credit Union to do the right thing with my money. You have given me dozens of reasons to leave SCU. I hear you.
If you are going to update your app, make sure all the features work before you do it. It took FIVE DAYS before I could see any transaction detail of my accounts.
All week since the upgrade I have not been able to view my transactions in my checking account? The platform doesn’t seem user friendly, but I see how you are trying to make it have a simple, cleaner look. The glitches so far though have been making it difficult to enjoy the upgrade.
I really l really find it easy to use, and SCU is terrific!
They offer two step via sms and call it 2FA. Thats incorrect. Kindly Introduce Authenticator app now pls! Pls your vulnerable to sim swap attacks. Everyone in IT knows this. Cost what it cost pls do this now! Compromising email and sim will reek havoc. Seriously IT security woukd you bank at your place of employment? Where the security to your Microsoft Office app is superior to the account that stores your day to day livelihood. I reported this multiple times. Lastly if the cost or delay if difficult. AT LEAST INTRODUCE A REAL TIME NOTIFICATION VIA PUSH/EMAIL& TEXT. Each time we login. That way we can action the event if your sms/email is compromised and two step fails to safeguard our funds. Thank you
I use BECU’s mobile app. It is current tech and So-So easy and user friendly. For example HOW about the option to HIDE/SHOW our Password?!?
