Shapr3D CAD modeling

I´m a big fan of this software, and have enjoyed it for years. It was my main reason for buying a iPad pro. Have no regrets.

I wanted to try this out for some quick and easy modeling for 3D prints, but the exports in the free/basic tier is _really_ low resolution, so they are pretty much useless. Having a cheap tier or fixed price IAP for 3mf/stl export available would make this an actual option for hobbyist modelers, but it’s currently way too expensive for my (really basic) usage. A shame, since I really liked the modelling and view/navigation combo with fingers and an Apple pencil.

Nice program, but you have to draw threads manually instead of choosing a surface and choose a thread like in fusion 360, which I think is a bit cumbersome. If you’re not going to make threaded parts then this is a nice program for quick and easy modeling.

It looks to be an amazing design tool for the iPad. I installed it and the tutorial was fantastic and highlighted how the functions and usage of the app feels so natural and easy to use. Then I was hit in the face with the subscription cost. And quickly realized that this is not an app for someone who wants to learn 3d design and don’t have a big design firm to pay for the app. I would think you would get much more users and paying users if the cost wasn’t so high.

I wanted to use this for some basic 3d printing, but the limited resolution in exports means the very expensive paid version is the only option. I don't want to spend money on that, and so installing, registering and learning this software was a complete waste of time.

Very good app but its way too expensive when free tools on pc does everything it does and more.

What about a student price??
