Shapr3D CAD modeling

Pity about the price. Surely they could have a basic subscription for hobbyists. No way can I justify the expense for the occasional project. Fun to tinker with though. App itself is good.

This is the most intuitive modelling software for the iPad. I’ve spent a few hours getting around it and designing some great things I wanted to do for stuff around the house, but the prohibitive cost is holding me back from investing any more time into this app. I nearly fell off my chair when it wanted $500 a year. Fine for enterprise/business users, but there are no hobbyist pricing tiers as others have said. I’d happily pay for a more restricted creator licence but it seems from reading the company aren’t interested.

Software is great, however the YEARLY cost is $500 AUD. There is no personal plans which make it slightly more distasteful given there are so many restrictions on just about everything unless your prepared to pay, so not for hobbyist like me who might want to 3d design every now and then.

The software is great, it’s super intuitive and limitless but I cannot justify spending 500 dollars a year when it is only for hobby designs for myself, FreeCAD has it worked out. Sad to see such a great product behind such a massive paywall. I think $50 a year for an individual would be reasonable, and more per user

This is a good app!

I think the app is quite good. A little funky compared with Solidworks and Fusion but useable. What isn’t useable is the price. They want 10x the price of Solidworks for yearly membership which I just cannot wrap my little pea brain around. Yes, you can use it for free but it’s basically useless in this form. It limits export quality to unusable levels among other limits. It’s a big no from me and my design community.

Should be a pay per play option where you design something and export 3D for a relatively small fee (1$?). That way everyone is happy.

I love this tool. I have been using it occasionally to mock out ideas for things I might 3d print one day. Using the free tool is limited to 2 projects and the file exports are low quality. That’s fair enough for free….. but at close to $500 AUD per annum I simply can’t afford this. PLEASE RELEASE A LIGHT SUBSCRIPTION MODEL - say $79 AUD per year with proper exports, limit the design features, and let us have about 5 projects. Honestly, the tool is awesome but I am going to have to look elsewhere for my casual 3d modelling for my home hobby.

Would love to buy the full version but just far to expensive for me unfortunately
