This app is a mess it doesn’t update in real time so be prepared to do onboarding for a month…Customer service is the slowest and most uninformed I’ve ever encountered they will literally take a whole day to reply to a chat.They also pay very low try any other agency app before you try this 1.

I went through everything to get “hired,” but then in order to unlock facilities I have to do it all over again, and apparently they are picky about which CPR classes you take (AHA not acceptable). Sorry, I’ve already given all my credentials and you want me to upload and bend over backwards again? No, I don’t have time for this.

I don’t know why they are so slow to approve documents. I lost so much work due to this. It’s already a major red flag for me. All my documents were approved and the simplest of them all (my ID) is taking days. I’m very frustrated and irritated because I need to work and this is unacceptable.

Worst agency app I have ever worked with. I picked up a shift they post for an overnight shift got to the facility an was cancelled because ShiftMed did not let them know I was coming after I left the facility I received an email from shift med saying I would get paid for the first 2 hours of the shift since I got canceled. I never received that pay I called to asked why an was told they never said such thing I offered to show them the email I was sent I got the run around still never got paid. It’s taken me months to complete this onboarding process. By the time anything happens everything is expired and I have to start over again. It’s ridiculous spending months just trying to verify documents. Im starting to think this app is a scam.

I once signed up for a week's worth of shifts to guarantee income for that period but then accepted FT employment and canceled the shifts. It was more than enough time for other people to recover the shifts. I had also previously canceled future shifts with a facility after they canceled on me twice, once after showing up and I didn't get any compensation for that. So, on my part however, all of this was considered violations. It was a year or two later when I came back to the app to pick up a shift to find that they beat up my rating impeding my ability to claim shifts ( the violations never reset), they also added various road blocks to my account making me ineligible for even more shifts without jumping through hoops, which by the time you're finish the act, of course the shifts won't be available. This contradicts the on-demand model. The last time I returned to shiftmed, which was most recently, they set my account to only see shifts 80+ miles away & told me those were the only facilities that have posted for help, except not only was I not allowed to claim a shift that was more than 72 hrs in advance but I could only work at these facilities after completing an orientation. I inquired for help & each time the CS eerily pretended to help me or manually set me up for an orientation only for that to never happen. Instead of toying with me, why not terminate my account? They end every conversation with an insincere "we're so glad we could help you, you're the most important part of Shiftmed, have the most wonderful day," or something of the sort ( even though they're notably not helping me), plus an infamous exclamation mark to add more salt! They are very sadistic, unreasonable, and a waste of time.

The app is a complete joke don’t waste your time the unboarding process takes extremely long and once you’re in there’s about 2 facilities to choose from and a bit of miles away with very low rates. I feel like this place need’s investigated it doesn’t seem completely legit they are probably obtaining all our information and using it for the wrong purposes I’ve never had an agency ask me for my insurance card ??

Working in Albq, NM for Shiftmed who has their contract with PRESbyterian and it’s is so frustrating. They do not like you as agency, no teamwork, and no communication but gossip. I just don’t know where to start with this. You get ban quick even when you have doctor note and your expandable. Shiftmed does not help you pay any of your vaccines etc,…

Trust me, this app is not worth your time. These people will scam you. First off, the onboarding process is unnecessarily tedious and long. Even when you have all of your credentials, it’ll take them “3 business days” to verify only ONE document at a time. Live chat is a hot mess as well. You have no way to start a new chat with a different agent, you just have to send a message to the same chat and HOPE someone gets back with you. Not good if you need answers immediately. You could call customer service, but they’re not helpful at all and hardly understand English. Zero problem solving skills whatsoever. After waiting like 2 weeks just to get verified, you’ll see that all of the “shifts” you were able to see before becoming active are no longer there. It took 48 minutes of me being on a phone call with an agent to tell me that it’s apart of Shiftmed’s “marketing tactic.” So scamming people is apart of your marketing tactic? Before becoming verified, I saw 66 shifts that were in cities near mine. They had the name of the facility, the pay rate, the date of the shift posted, and a button next to it that lets you “claim” the shift. The agent on the phone tried to gaslight me and talk to me as if I’m stupid. I tried to be understanding and polite at first, but ended up losing my patience because this is just ridiculous. I am a mother and I have a family I need to provide for. Lying like this is honestly just sick in my opinion. So if you made it this far reading my review, do yourself a favor and take my advice. THIS APP IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. These people will lie to you and scam you.

This agency has little RN shift availability. I contacted them to inquire what cities and states RN shifts are located. Unfortunately, I was told that ShiftMed doesn't have the ability to tell me the cities and states with available RN shifts. In addition, ShiftMed keeps the shifts locked and doesn't give accurate information about unlocking shifts. This is an awful app/company. I'll be contacting this company to delete my profile shortly.
