Don’t like. They ask for stuff that’s not even required for CNA. After getting all the vaccines they “required” they still wouldn’t allow me to work. Despite my background being cleared and me having experience in multiple different hospital departments. They will send you around in circles having you do stuff, pay for testing for them to never approve you and come up with something else that was never asked for. Complete that, then it’s something else.. I suggest clipboard and ESHYFT

I have been with ShiftMed for a while now, they don’t care about how reliable you are. They don’t care how many years you’ve been with them they can be very harsh with attendance. Their support line is not good at all. If you contact their chat support, you won’t hear from them for days, they make it difficult to apply and then once you’re okay. Their call line also useless and not helpful and you will get blamed and suspended for not being able to call out while the app glitches and doesn’t allow you to cancel two days before hand. I would never on my own cancel a shift day of knowing how facilities need extra to time to find coverage. They have no support or loyalty to people who work on the app very frequently and has a good rep with facilities on there. Their app is so faulty and allowing me to see shifts as an LPN that I can’t even pick up and then the support getting upset with me because I said why can I even see and try to do a skills evaluation for it if LPN’s can’t do the location. You work with this agency but beware! Pay rates are good which is why I just deal with it.

A bit harsh and not understanding. I have been dealing with ShiftMed for a few years now. Their cancelation is harsh. 24 hours notice? I mean really life happens. I just canceled a shift 12 hours before it started and still recieved a shift violation. I have multiple violations that weren’t even my fault that’s still up there from YEARS AGO. They don’t clear it so you can start new. Makes it look like I’m not reliable. Not only does the acceptance rate drop but you also you get another shift violation added. Very harsh. Now since my acceptance rate is under 50% I’m not getting the close facilities. It’s like a punishment. They could definitely treat CNA’s better. AND the instant payout used to be 75% now it’s 65%.

No Transparency, Lack of RN Shift Availability, Lack of Recruiters

This agency has little RN shift availability. I contacted them to inquire what cities and states RN shifts are located. Unfortunately, I was told that ShiftMed doesn't have the ability to tell me the cities and states with available RN shifts. Recruiters will reach out then disappear out of thin air like they never existed. In addition, ShiftMed keeps the shifts locked and doesn't give accurate information about unlocking shifts. This leads me to believe that listed were never available to begin with. This is an awful app/company. I'll be contacting this company to delete my profile shortly.

A waste of time

I started the application process about two months ago. All info was submitted, there is still two items pending: the physical and the background check. The background is still pending AFTER two months. I have already done two background checks at two hospitals for employment, and the one from shift med is still not done. I also have submitted a physical weeks ago, and still shows as pending. I am positive this company will delay my pay as well. Therefore, for the lack of diligence and competence, I am deleting the app.

Customer service is not helpful at all

Am still in my onboarding and the customer service is not informed , very slow and it’s so hard to get them to reply to messages. It’s just scary because I haven’t even started working, my fear is what if I encounter a problem while at work and am not able to get someone to help me out.
