As other people have reviewed the various issues, I’ll summarize, if your device can be manually switched on the device itself, don’t bother with this app it’s just useless, it works once or twice and then never again.

Actually i preferred RY75 over the 120 model as I can control the light remotely . I cannot add equipment in the app as the button is not functioning !! This is inaccepted and led me to unneeded purchase !!

The app is very bad, crashes all the time, couldn’t open the light control at all. Badly designed. I will return the lights unfortunately, they are good but annoying to set up, the app would make it easier.

Feels like it’s a Chinese spying app. SMH It only works that one time you connect to the light. After that the app crashes, every single time. You can only update firmware when logged in with email. I created an email just for this app. Not risking it! Don’t bother with this app!!

My initial review was that the app was unusable due to it crashing when going into the light settings. I played with it a bit more and have now got it working. You need to wait for the light to connect to the app before trying to edit it. Turn the light off and on while the app is running and it should connect (once initially paired). Then you can go into it and change the settings.

This app is unusable, it just crashes constantly.

On the iPhone it crashes when you try to select you light ie I cannot adjust the settings. On the iPad I am able to add my equipment but then the equipment doesn’t show up on my list in the app. Useless. The only reason I chose this light was that it had an app to control it. Using with Smallrig RM75 led light.

I really want to love this app. I purchased 4 RM75, expecting that I can control them simultaneously… but there’s no such option… is it my problem? - The app quits itself multiple time on my first use… - Whenever I enter the setting of the light, the previous setting doesn’t stay… - when I switch from one light to the other, it jumps to the setting of the first light… how can I make separate adjustments like this… - The RGB graph also does not accurately represent the light coming out of the light… I feel like I don’t have the app option at all… it’s quite unusable in professional setting There’s so much work to be done on this app… I kinda regret not getting the Aputure MC… I’m giving 2 stars instead of one because I don’t want SmallRig to stop developing the app. The physical lights are fine. Maybe just need some work on the app.

This app does not connect to the RC220B light no matter how many times I go through their troubleshooting and “how to” steps. IOS does not see the device via Bluetooth. I can only surmise the RC220B is not transmitting therefore cannot be seen. I purchased the light thinking I could circumvent using manual methods but it turns out the product and app are advertised falsely.
